Each mirror hit does 20 damage, Two P got hit 5 times (individual hits, not a combo, so no scaling on any of them), and he has 500 health. So he took 100 damage, 20% of Two P's health, to deal 7 damage, or 0.68% of Urien's health

I thought this was only gonna be a showcase of the characters, but having the history of them made this video so much cooler.

I really appreciate how these were animated to a standard comparable to the main playable characters, and have a few cool moves all their own with lore-appropriate tie-ins

Lets not forget that PETER was voiced by Peter "Combofiend" Rosas

DESK: (Wants to try to make cool combos with characters' crappy movesets) Urien: "AEGIS EXTENDER"!!

It's worth mentioning with ASR-EX that he has a lot of bizzare properties under the hood. In particular, he has a ton of health but takes double damage from the second hit of a combo onwards. He also takes a few extra frames of hitstun from attacks, which gives a ton of characters genuine infinites against him, including one of the non playable Dolls. Genuinely incredibly silly

One cool thing about the AS EX fighters is that they have inverse scaling. That means that you do more damage to them by doing a combo. You wouldn't even realize the fact that they have a higher health pool because the scaling was designed that way. EDIT: Apparently, only the first hit does less damage, while the next one does double the amount.

It's not exactly inverse. Instead, the second hit does double the first hit, then regular combo scaling applies *starting to decay from the second hit*. It's also only the EX ones

It's very wacky how their damage works; single hits are actually bad. Gief's CA does 400 damage, which is an alright chunk raw, like as a wakeup Super. But if you do LK to CA on AS-R EX, it does 760 (40 + 400*1.8) Command Grabs are kinds bad on them lmao, barely makes a dent since it's not a combo

With Street Fighter 6 having such deep character customization, I can finally live out my fantasy of losing every fight as Two P!

The fact that I still learned a ton of things by watching this video even though I saw Leon Massey's content on the unused characters just goes to show how good desk is at finding stuff to do with characters. Also Jesus Christ, that editing... True eye candy.

Mad respect to show the characters and their origins for people with little knowledge on this stuff. I’m Subbing right now

Neat addendum on the Shadaloo grunts: I'm not sure if anyone else sees it, but I think the two-hit tackle special a lot of them share is supposed to be the odd tackle move that Bison had in CvS1 instead of Psycho Crusher.

I'm guessing Two-P's damage is so low so there's zero chance he knocks you out in the bonus round.

Some of these characters have way more effort put into them than necessary. Especially Peter, with his borderline martial arts kata animations with his baton.

Their names are AS-M and AS-R, huh? They make a pretty good duo when they sound together, might even call it ASMR.

A tournament with these characters would be amazing. I mean, nobody'd play Two P, but by golly it'd be awesome

Really thought some of the dolls you play against in story mode would make it in. Would be dope to see a 1) version select 2) hidden character drop 3)sf6 style netcode update just dropped in. Could immortalize sf5.

Not after the letdown that was launch, the story mode, and the first 2 seasons. Season 3 is where things started to turn around, but too many people were burned by the initial shock of how little was in the game.

Such a stylish video for such a niche topic. I knew about the story mode grunts and Peter but all these other boss and EX characters I have no idea about. Absolutely dope video!

I would love to see a tournament of only these characters and the players are given random choices only, that would be cool lol

This is very interesting! It would have been cool if they would have been added to the roster as bonus characters offline just for fun and have functioning movesets, especially the shadaloo soldiers.

That was really interesting! I only knew about Peter before watching this, Shadow and Shadow Lady look really busted. Also loved the editing of this video! I forgot SFv had an option for cell shaded characters

TWO P. as a senior and former gang member reformed, was a pretty nice character at FINAL FIGHT STREETWISE, he was one of the funnier supporting characters available.

Great video Desk. My favorites are the Master Ryu mostly because I like the idea of using two bars to do a super and using all three bars to do a stronger super, and Shadow and Shadow Lady because of their unique attacks.

We need a tournament for only unplayable characters!

I love how NPCs in fighting games are either complete dogshit or broken to hell and back with no in-between, and this game is a perfect example of that

Those cel-shading mods really make the game pop. SFV should have went with that look to set itself apart. Would have helped make the game look fresh rather than dark and samey.

Peter looks like a decent fighter unironically.

Desk I have an editing question. When you transition backgrounds while leaving the character on the screen, is the character rotoscoped or is there like a green screen mod and you play with the camera?
