Unperfect in Moab Part 2

This is Part 2! Corrie and I headed to Moab in December. Some things went to plan, some things did not. Would we change a thing? Probably not.

Easiest fail-proof fire starter is a 9V battery and steel wool. The metal is so fine that it instantly starts glowing, and spreading, QUICK. So just make sure to put a cap on the battery when you store it, and maybe also put it in a case (away from the steel wool) - P.S. This won't make a flame, so it won't ignite gasses, but it will ignite leaves, twigs, paper, a match or most anything else flammable, so just use that to light the propane/butane

A winter road tip from a Canadian. In the future if you find yourself in a situation like that instead of trying to chip off the ice, scratch some dirt from the side of the road with your shovel and throw it on the ice, it only needs a dusting to make traction.

Such is life. Our plans are feeble and flawed, but the experience He delivers to us are a beautiful gift.

Awesome videos guys, they are very inspiring to us newbie adventurers. I like the honesty and the lessons learned... Adventures don't have to be perfect they just need to be adventurous... My wife and I Jeeped to Gemini Bridges to get to Metal Masher and then Kane's Creek in our first real off-road adventure last year... It was a blast!!! We went on trails that where not recommended to do alone. We meet fellow overlanders along the way that helped us out of difficult climbs and guided us through narrow rock ledges where tires were off the road at times and where we were only inches from the edge of cliffs... MOAB is a great overland destination!!!! Thanks for sharing... We hope to join the OB Club soon :-)

My rig was damage free until Bald mountain. But that scrape has memories attached.

It's great to see a video where things don't always go to plan which in reality is real life.there are too many videos on youtube where folk promote the perfect life. Like I teach my students it's good when things go wrong because you learn from it.

I like that you show the bumps and bruises of relationships and travel. And that you don't have a $200,000 rig -- it gives regular guys like me hope that I can get my rig up and going and on the road and just do it.

I took that same trail (long canyon) back in December 2014, those switchbacks got me shaken up (i'm afraid of heights) but the views at the top were breathtaking. I went in a rental jeep and with snow on the trail, made things a little scary and adventurous! nice video! I follow you guys on Instagram.

Great pair of videos, very realistic. Every time we go to Utah it takes forever to get anywhere, it's like there's some sort of time vortex. On our last trip we finally coined the term "Utah miles" to acknowledge how long routes may take us.. took us 7-hours to go 22-miles one day!
