At 79 I was about 20 when the first Moog hit the streets so I have seen the evolution of the synth and electronic music first hand. But in the sea of free plugin synths out there, I made the mistake of downloading the Diva demo and within 24 hours I had paid for it! Just blew me away. I later found Hive 2 and the Repro package on sale at NI half price and got them and recently added Zebra Legacy to the arsenal. All U-he synths, but they quite simply have something in their sound that I don't find anywhere else. Synth heaven? Pretty close to it!! If you can't afford them, Tyrell and Zebrallette are free U-he synths and are very good as free synths go. That's how I found U-he in the first place.

if U-he gave you two vsts in that legacy bundle with the hundreds of presets over the decade, you might find DIVA presets hidden in the folders just there modules run on alternate styles of modulations . if you bought the legacy bundle recently you cant upgrade to Zebra 3 for 30 dollars but i say Diva makes lushes in sounds Dark Zebra can replicate amazing fx but it CPU intensive compare to Zebra2 still you got a good deal.

@@AlexReidStudios good to know. I was testing out presets with Voltage Modular and I thought this does not inspire me much and I really thought it would. Turn on the Moog and it sounds awesome directly. I was even debating if something was off with my setup but I have good speakers. I mostly use headphones with the Moog maybe that matters. After years of using. I recon there are better synths on the market. I recon diva is great for analog basslines/ one note leads. But when using for trance/pad sounds the sounds are just to compact and dull and have a irritating impact on me (like it doesn't really pull you into the athmosphere). Maybe this can be fixed with mastering, i've searched plenty of times for this fix, never found it. I understand that diva is great for learning analogue. But I believe there are better synths for trance to use such as : Virus TI, prophet... In my opinion it's just much cleaner + the sound is more clear. The synths ofcourse depends on what kind of sounds you want and in which frequency spectrum/athmosphere

As also a trance producer, I think Diva price kinda have this neck to me, even tho I wanna have it, the price keeps me at the edge of clicking it, maybe if they have a nice sale offer I might really buy it, as for now we already have Access Virus 1:1 emulator, a tons of new and free JP-80XX emulator like Apricot and T-Force Zenith, so trying to consider my self to buy a Diva is hard to be honest lol... I got a Virus Hardware, Dune 3, and Avenger, I used to have Spire but I sold my license.

It has hands down the best plate reverb on any plugin or hardware I've ever heard. I've begged U-he to make it into a standalone plugin, I hope they do. If anyone doubts this, load the patch HS Chango Clique. It has the most insanely realistic short room dialled in which is super warm, super wide and the transients are perfect. Now disable the plate and replace it with literally any other reverb you own - I promise you, you won't even get close to the same sound. Hell, even download demos of reverbs you don't own and try them - believe me I've been through countless trying to find something similar but nope. This experiment will ruin reverb for you as you'll suddenly realise that no other plugins or hardware (aside from actual real plates, chambers or springs) can not handle transients at all. They are grainy and artefacty. The only thing that is able to remotely handle transients is the new update for Baby Audio Crystalline (which specifically addressed transients) but even then the warmth, the depth and the richness just isn't there. Come on U-he, you know you want to! And Alex - I'd be super interested to see you attempt this experiment yourself. I feel a "quest for the holy grail" of reverbs could be quite interesting using that preset as a benchmark :)

Yeah, it's just huge sounding. It makes me feel embarrassed that I invested in the KORG and Arturia stuff in a way, because I could do 80% of what ever I wanted from those from this one plugin. However, it doesn't have additive nor spectral synths along side sampling (if I'm not mistaken)..plus KORG and it's wavestate stuff. So I will get this down the road for sure

I felt the same about getting Arturia, but for instance I prefer the old wonky workflow plus the sequencer of the MS-20 V than using the setting on Diva
