Unpacking speculation over Trump's VP short list
Former President Donald Trump isn't shying away from speculation that North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum is on his shortlist for vice president. A new report from Axios reveals the Trump campaign believes Burgum could help close the deal in several swing states. All of the VP choices are going to reflect Trump policy wise and say unhinged things to align with him, but like the reporter said, Burgum is stable. That's the impression I got from him at the debates. He struck me as a meat and potatoes, decent guy who by circumstances beyond his control has to throw in with whackjobs. I'm sure I'm not going to agree too much with his politics, but if he inherits the nuclear football, I'll be relieved.
