Unoccupied Bed-making Made Simple

This video seeks to demonstrate the nursing art and science of bed-making. There are many ways of doing a procedure but must have high regards for the patient safety and other principles. It does not intend to supercede any agency or institution’s existing policy on this procedure. Reading and understanding the procedure is paramount to its correct execution.
Learners are not recording gadgets and learning is not about parroting words and contents. This video presents the “KEYWORD” memorization technique in approaching a long written procedures. This is done by first taking the optimum grasp of the procedure after reading it once or twice then picking up keywords per steps which would brong into remembrance to a learner, the whole idea of each steps. Enjoy learning! Let’s Marc it up!

Thanks for sharing the steps. I just understand about the difference between closed and open unoccupied bed although I cannot demonstrate it like the settings you have, but it is really helpful. I just need to observe the other videos doing the same procedures because I have observed from the others also that when making the triangle folds to create a nice miter, the edge of the triangle should be along the line of the top surface like 45 degrees before tucking it so the result is a bit free from any loose surfaces of the linen, although maybe it depends on the type of the linens. Also, the linens should not touch the uniform according to the procedure when making the bed, however the last part, it touched the blanket so maybe reaching the far side from the near side should be avoided and instead when needed to fix something, it is better to make the far side a near side by going to the certain side of the bed. You explained it simply and easy to understand though. Thank you!

@@Marcitup Sir ,i just wanna ask something..Before doing the procedure,do we have to consider the case of the patient and the environment that you are going to work with? Then depending on the cases, that maybe we need to wear a lab gown or complete PPE?Thanks Sir..Have a good day😁😬😘

Sir Ur Demonstrations is unbelievable How to Bed occupying but sometimes i feel really sad being a Nurse because A nurse studies almost 8 Semesters each Semesters carry average 5 subject and so many more the things studied. i highlighted the point that should a nurse really deserve to be occupying bed duty in whole hospital it is his or her status to do bed setting it really awful because a person gives so much sometimes for their BSN education at the End what he will do occupying beds for patients or bed setting. Sorry if I say something wrongs Sir.
