Hi Risa - I actually stopped apply any shadow on my eyelids a while back because I always thought what is the point, when you can't see it. But you do see it, I see it when you move your eyes or slightly close them, so you have inspired me to go back to doing the full eye make up routine. I always did feel like incomplete whenever I would go out (lol) Thank you Risa, this was helpful to me 😊💕

Thank you so much Risa! I love all of your tutorials. Especially for hooded eyes. I have hooded eyes and I am 61, still want to look good. I watched so many videos on make up for mature eyes on other KZread. Tried to apply on my face their techniques. But everytime I followed that direction, I didn't like how I look. And felt opposite. Felt like I need just softer, less and lighter eyeshadow. Now after watching your this video, I know what to do. Thank you so much! ❤

Your tutorials on hooded eyes were why I subscribed! You GET IT!! They are a challenge to work with and can be very frustrating. However, your methods really do work. Thank you!!! My tip for eyeliner: if shadow doesn't work as eyeliner because your eyes water like mine, dip your liner brush in your gel liner and then use that to apply liner. Stays all day and can be darkened later for an evening look if desired.

I have learned choosing a mascara is all about the right brush. My small hooded eyes can’t handle big fluffy brushes. I found the combo of the dior white eyelash primer with loreal butterfly mascara makes my lashes huge and opens my eyes. I stopped buying eyeshadow palettes. No more eyeshadow for me. Lashes and lipstick are most flattering.❤️

Yes! Finally some one who says and thinks the same as I do!! I have extremely hooded eyes. I always have and now that I’m fifty nine, they are insanely hooded!! I have enough eyelid for another set of eyes!! But when you said it is hard to watch a video of someone giving tricks for hooded eyes when they themselves don’t have hooded eyes I was like YES!!! Finally, someone gets it!! I’ve watch hundreds of videos with people who, in my opinion do not have hooded eyes. They, at best have eyes that look puffy but nothing like what I’d call hooded eyes. Not even close. So, needless to say, their tips and tricks NEVER work! Mainly bc, well they don’t really have a hooded eye problem. Thank you so much for “getting it”!!! ❤️💜💚

Hi Risa tightlining the upper waterline was a gamechanger for my hooded eyes. I still use eyeshadow, mascara, smudgy lower lashline pencil/shadow stick etc, but giving that depth of colour at the base of the lash in the waterline gives my blonde lashes a real boost. I get my brows threaded and I tint them for shape/definition, which means a lot less work everyday to make them look pretty good. I have rosacea affecting my eyes (causing dry eyes which means they water a lot), so I need a waterproof pencil and mascara (or a tubing mascara). Slim mascara wands are so much easier to use than fat or hourglass wands for my eyes. I don't wear bronzer, but i love a taupe in the crease or a very soft grey (I'm super pale/cool toned). False lashes are tricky for me, but for an event etc I will use a half lash, trios or a natural looking lash for extra oomph. Best wishes.

Risa, GREAT CONTENT! I ROFLMAO when you got to #3 Tweezers and discussing the new places that eyebrow hairs start to grow over the age of 50! I'm 56 now and for the last 6 years those stray brow hairs are popping up all the way down to the middle of the crease area of my hooded eyelids! Talk about a difficult area to tweeze! Our skin is already fragile there, but it also very mobile from laxity, so it's hard to grab a hold of those hairs without accidentally pinching the skin at the same time!! My stray brow hairs also grow all the way down on the outside of eye sockets, to the level of my lash line!!! Good grief! LMAO! XOXO ~~Christy~~

I love how your blue eyes pop when you wear blue. I have blue eyes too, and when I wear something blue, they really pop, making my eyes look bigger, and less hooded. I would say the same for green eyes - use a neutral green eyeshadow shade (like a slightly mossy green color, not a straight up green) in the crease, to make green eyes pop and/or wear something in the green family, to make them pop even more. So you're looking more at the Color of the eyes, and less of the Hood of the eyes.

I have watched all your hooded eye videos and I never get tired of watching them. I still plan to buy your Martini lashes, but just seems I always have skincare items that I need to replace or repurchase since I typically will splurge on my skincare first. But I want to try those lashes and have since you introduced them. I'm going to get them even though I'm nervous since I have never worn falsies.

I use powder for a liner but get the brush wet first. Kind of a best of both worlds. It’s a little softer than pencil or liquid (even though you are doing a faux liquid in a sense) and will last.

Wow, what a great video, thank you so much, was very helpful. You said everything, specially the mascara tip, I use the one with big fluffy brush and I have mascara everywhere. Will try the telescopic one for sure. Love your chanel and love the tips videos. Take care. 😊

You look pretty and I personally didn't notice your "bad hair day" because I was looking at your face. I'd love to see a Barbie tutorial from you.
