Unlocking the Mystery Behind Store Floor Sweating!

YT248
I received the Work Order for the HVAC System of the store needing to be checked out, and that the floors were sweating as a result of it. I had another work order at the store I worked on first today, and once completed I began with this one. Began Assesing the Sweating Floors Issue. I found that the water appearing on the floor are not that of condensation of the floor itself. It's that the Frozen Food Cases-and other cases if thisnis occuring elsewhere- are condensating severely and dripping onto the floor under them, which is the same subfloor as what is under the Tiles that cover the Aisles. The water is under the tiles and as weight of people and shopping carts pass over the Tiles, water is pushed up through the seams of the tile. This is occuring on Aisle 6, Aisle and Aisle 8. Also is occuring at the Frozen Food End Cap Cases of these same Aisles.
Regarding the HVAC System:
1) At the time that I went up to see the Air Handler, it was in Status Locked Out For No Fan. I could not determine how long it has been in this status. I had to Manually Restart the Fan at The Motor Starter.
2) Because we had no Fan, there was no dehumification to the store and the RH had reached 84%. After starting the AC system and letting it run for a couple of hours, the RH fell to 78%. It will continue to fall as it runs longer.
3) We must allow it to run for a couple of days to get the RH back to a manageable level before we can further address the Frozen Food Cases leaking on the floor issue.

Destratification fans hanging from the ceiling would probably help if your HVAC is working properly.

This is happening at one of my stores. One of the stores HVAC chillers is bad so the humidity is a lot higher, causing all the coolers to condensate all over the floor.

Inside the cases from freezing up from backed up drains is heaved sections allowing water into the inner layer of the casing. Heaved sections destroy insulation and let the outside of the case get below dew point. I’ve seen 3/4” gaps between frame and sides on old junk cases. Bottom of cases heaved and letting water get into the insulation under the case making it worse and worse. At a certain point it can’t be combated and needs to be replaced.

If the dehumidifier is working on the rack ac / heat reclaim should be good

Well, I happened to notice that the dehumidifier has its own compressor... one of those compressors in the motor room is for the dehumidifier.
