Comparing this to a standard sniper rifle is like comparing the Ratslayer to a standard Varmint Rifle. It's preset with all the mods and is overall better than what the standard would be with the mods added. I always make a beeline to this when I get to Big MT.

That's a great comparison. Yeah it's a solid weapon that is basically ready to use out of the box. It even nicely has a target practice mode the moment you grab the weapon.

d'oh! i think i ended up getting this in one game and forgot it the rest of the time, including my level 1 run.

Sadly unique weapons don't really get any recognition of that fact they are unique or or do more damage etc and you do need to use them to see a difference. This goes across FNV also. It's worth getting for sure.

The Ratslayer will always be my favorite sniper rifle. With max luck, the right perks and it’s x5 crit multiplier, few can stand against you. But Christine’s silencer rifle does come in a close second.

The abiline le BB gun is a more fun crit build weapon

I tend to carry both. When I'm sneaking around I used the CoS, and when I'm spotting swith out to the Gobi.

It's an endless debate on what's better. This or the gobi campaign scout rifle. I just like the fact that this has a silencer on it, so that makes it better for me.

Same, personally I favour weapons that allow me to remain hidden. For me being able to pull off more shot without being discovered means I am able to deal more damage even if the weapon itself does less damage when compared to something that on paper is stronger.

@@TrappedInFallout I definitely shall. -In F3, during a playthrough I collected every unique & 1 or more of every in game item, stored them in Megaton. It's a bit of a tall order for FNV though Perhaps I give it to Boone for a bit. -cheers!

Me too, it's one of my go to weapon when playing thr DLC. It's a solid endgame weapon also.

It's an interesting debate. It's better in some ways but not in all. From the damage point of view I think it is but personally I like to be able to remain hidden with the silencer which ultimately helps me to dish out much more damage.

The gobi campaign riffle is better

I'm in two minds.i agree that the Gobi is a solid weapon, it's one of the first ones I get in the base game. But I also tend to replace either when I get thr CoS. I do prefer the silience.

Top 3 pewpew in the game.
