Unloading on the Go with a Pickup Truck!
#Harvest21 continues! I've been trying to knock out a lot of acres in the past 2 days. Rain's coming in and we're gonna get rained out for the next couple of days.
We got a new "tructer" on the farm. Spence has been helping unload on the go to keep things moving quick when the tractor is gone. Got about 400 bushel on him before he spins out. It's working pretty good and helping keep good pace lol.
After Harvest I have a lot of tillage and NH3 to put on, along with tile, and cleaning up some field edges on some farms. Gonna be a busy fall/winter.

It’s kinda funny how you and Spencer’s voices are on my tv often with my kids watching the fs videos which are very good btw I have no problem with them watching you guys. Then you have me 46yr old dad over here watching you guys on here. Kinda neat. Made me really smile and laugh along with you when Spence pulled up with the dually! Keep up the hard work sir.

I can say that I’ve never seen a truck pull a gravity box while the combine was dumping on the go! Impressive and funny at the same time. Go Spencer, go!!!
Hoping and praying for you and family that you get done safety this fall. Just be careful . Your learning a lot this season. Seems just yesterday you were planting though fields.
I am from northern germany and i love whatch you living your Dream. Beste Grüße
Thank you for your videos Grant Hilbert you are the best
Thanks, getting close to getting all your corn out. Each day brings new experiences
You made the right call on getting the skid steer. Never doubt yourself on thinking safety keep it first in your mind. Glad you got it fixed. But your doing a good job for your first year. Take care have fun be safe.
Great video Grant, your getting there slow but sure, it’s nice your dad helping out, keep it up mate your doing a great job 👌👌👌

If you feel comfortable with it, we would really like to know your profit/loss for 2021. With your smaller farm, it would be easier for us non farmers to understand it all. We are certainly enjoying learning what it takes to start your business! Thanks!

love what you have done since the beginning keep it up 👍
Using pickup for boxes. 1 dump in field at most. Then park truck, box on solid ground, aimed toward exit (downhill if possible) and unload combine there. I pull @24k in grain easily on solid surfaces with pickup. Low range on soft ground with load.

Watch for decent used dryer bins locally. A 5000 to 10k dryer bin would let you continue when elevator is closed. Plus part of your crop could be sold at any time dried.
Tile is ok at least from watching other farmers it has one major problem you can run over the flag, which is where the drain is in the field and than you got to replace the flag. The flag is there so you don't cut the drain with some equipment. The better solution than tile is cover crop. Just plant the cover crop wait until it grows than plant corn, the cover crop is on the surface, the corn is higher so it will poke right through the cover crop will help make sure water don't stand in field when harvesting.
@gregjames5070

Not all drain tiles have flags. We have miles of drain tile and not one flag in site. And cover crop won’t help with the prophet is having. How do you ignorant muppets come up with this crap.
i loved how your combine rolled coal during the cold start
Keep up the great work!
A large frame 6215r would pull the wagons great and then you could get a smaller grain cart like a 500 bushel or 600 bushel. And you could knock a good amount of acres out in a day love seeing the new vids tho man keep it up
Nails will get ya every time. That power stroke sounds nice though.
Finally, been waiting for a video! I resorted to rewatching all the harvest videos😂

The ol combine sounds good 💪
Heck yea you’ve came a long way
We have a 9670 and we leave the cover for the chopper belts off, we where told trash gets inside the cover and can start a fire, so we took it off and it works fine

Blow things off every day, shields are there for a reason.
Hey Grant, did you figure out why your outside row wasn’t working right? On the button of the outside left cone you have a bunch of corn stocks binding underneath. That’s why it keeps plugging up, the chain is probably slipping which will only wear. Keep an eye on the bottom. You won’t see it on the topside, but when you see the plug on the bottom, you’ll understand why it’s not working right! God Bless, and keep working hard!
You guys sound like me and my brother when we started, over radio we would give way to much information. Now we rarely say more then 4-5 words, and we 20 people working for us.
Great video, always enjoy the drone footage!
Just a little tip in corn always keep your augur pointing out on the open side to unloading on the go.
Pitter patter let’s get at ‘er.
Just so you know if nobody else has commented this. The super singles should be at 120 PSI cold you can always look on the sidewall and it will tell you what the tire needs
you should get an old tractor for the field and fill the cart the unhook at the gate and pic it up with the big tractor
I’m from the warren area, all of our crops have been out for awhile now! A little late!!
I love farms
U guys Are doing a amazing job! Keep up the good work!🤩
Hell yeah I love watching it videos!!!
Unloading on the go with a truck seems like something I would do in farming simulator lol keep up the good work
I think a 4640 or 4840 would be some great cheap horsepower for pulling your second wagon and doing some tillage
Love u guy souch fun,great video.Go guys go.☘️👍🙋♀️🇨🇮🌽🌽
Keep up guys! You all doing great together
Hoping to see you get an 8970, grain cart, and atleast straight truck for grain hauling next year!
that would be a cool vid with the other farmer throwing down tile for ya.
you should get a long reach it goes right on the tractor and it cuts the branches and small trees on your farms and areas that have it
I suggest you to mow the ditches and the crossings before harvest so you know exactly where you are going with tractors and combines.
Better check the slip clutch on that left row. Must be going out.
Dude I love Spencer’s truck
You should get plug kits for the tires they are way cheaper than getting a new tire every time
If I was you I would blow the stuff off at night after getting done do to moist air during fall and it probably would come off better. Great videos
Grant get this for your truck 1. Rim's and tires 2. And tone to be pushing 750hp 3. A leveling kit 4. Straight pip

could you maybe make a little section in a video where you show us your sleeping area(cartrailer) in the shed?Would be cool to see that.:) Thanks!
Great job guys.
Tiling a field does make a big difference Grant, so if you can swing the expense because tiling isn't cheap, but it is well worth it.
That 6.0 sounds NICE👌
Keep grinding buddy. Loving these videos
Your header problem with stuck corn stalks. Check the deck plate opening make sure it’s not bent or too tight compared to the others.
Grant you need a john Deere 4450. You can mow run an anger and pull wagons with it.
Love the vids keep it up can’t wait to see the farm grow
You are not doing so hot with tires lately. Cool to see the grain cart on the truck. But that is very hard on the sidelines of the truck.
For the algorithm. Likes, comments, shares, and subscriptions help your content creators more than you realize. Keep it up Grant!
thats funny stuff pulling wagon with truck get a grain cart and a gain truck you and spencer this winter look for more ground your doing well farm simulator 2022
Shop I worked at put a trans in a farmers truck because he used it to till a field when his tractor broke down.
You need to adjust the stalk ripper on the row that is stuffing. They are to far apart or consumed or damaged.
Ayooooo I love watching ur videos man keep up the awesome work I love what ur doing
Nice vid
You are fired 😂
Hey grant I love the videos and hope you have a safe harvest, it ik how wide the combine is taking it down the road, I suggest you get a strobe light for the roof of Spencer’s truck and a wide load sine for the bumper, I just want you to be able to get up and down the road safe.
I took those trash trapping, shield's off the day I got my machine, including both side of the feederhouse. easier to watch the belts and chains from the cab, an maintance them in the morning.
It sounds like you have a row unit either on its way out or out on your cornhead, that would contribute to why one row keeps plugging. Keep up the great work!!

Hey grant in one of your videos on here you said you wish you would’ve gotten another tractor or something like that I recommend the 4440 od be a great and new addition to the farm keep it up
I see you've mastered the farmer wave already
Good rule of thumb is blow your machine off every night that way you don’t have all the fotter on you all day, and remove the easy shields to get as much as you can
Ben will do a great job for you, did you see how his yields went up where he tiled?
Built ford tough. Ford should use that as a commerical
Another great video good luck👍🏻
You've got to get some little silos built for next season I guess so then you can combine as long as you want
Good job grant👍👍👍
you should have gave spencer cap corn when you pulled over hus truck
