Unlimited Pillow Drops - Hirafu Japan Snowboarding
This was a very cold but very fun day snowboarding at Hirafu Resort in Niseko, Japan with the crew. I wore literally every layer I had and felt pretty comfortable in the morning, and actually warmed up enough to shed a layer once we got moving. Our first day of the trip we found this great zone with lots of drops, and today we finally had enough snow to head back and enjoy the drops with some soft powdery landings. Most of the day was spent searching for powder pillows, but we also had a few really fun tree lines and the Kazu was killing it. It was just enough snow for soft landings, but not so much that we were getting stuck. If you are in Hirafu and want to find this zone, it is a short hike up and to the right from the main gondola. Thanks for watching!

TJ, what are your impressions of Kazu in such deep snow?
@marks7086
5 жыл бұрын
I was riding the Kazu on the same run 1 week before TJ's crew turned up... was loving it! Seemed good for the whole mountain there... but I couldnt help but wonder whether a more pow orientated board would have been better in the deeper light stuff.. i was submarining at times a foot of snow. Be great to hear what you think TJ? Perhaps a comparison.. for those specidic conditions of kazu vs surfer vs orca vs storm chaser or whatever. Ps. Be great to see a night boarding video by you guys. Night is Awesome at Hirafu. Ditch poor vis days.

It struggled a bit in the deep stuff, but it’s fun to have the freestyle versatility
What are these board nose covers for?

truk 78 I ride the Greats as my daily driver. If you don't have another option then yes... but you should be looking at something with a set back stance, directional and wider...
