My brother and I were farming them last night. We encountered one south of Fort Louis. Our strategy was, each one of us accepted 2 delivery missions to spawn rogues and carry as many heads as we had. There was so much fun chaos that I felt the only missing thing was the background Ave Maria music. I filled the gap by singing it myself.

@@OGvCINDER Ubisoft has reduced the spawn rates. Earlier it was 50% chance every 90 secs with 7 or more heads and max (4) aggression rating with the plague troops. Now it is 25% chance with 10 or more heads with 4 aggression rating. Note that it takes a bit of time to get to 4 aggression rating and if you wait too long with no plague ships in battle you can lose it.

Not sure what to say. I've gotten them to spawn. Just to make sure, the ship you're looking for will have a green gas signal (similar to the yellow one on top of merchant ships that want assistance). It will drop a treasure chest, however, it will not always drop a La Peste Locker.@@OGvCINDER

My experience with this was very different and by different I mean LONGGGGGG. I went solo with 10 heads in my inventory. Took about 45 minutes to get to level 4 and I killed what seemed like 50 of the interceptor ships. Once I got to level 4 it took another 20 minutes of the interceptors before my first "special" ship showed up. After that it was about 20 minutes between each "special" ship showing up. Word of advise, bring lots of ammo. I can say that using my Barque and with Fire Mortar 3s all around, I never had to use a heal. The "special" ships are easier to kill than the interceptors if you stay out of their poison impact areas.

Collecting the heads just increases the chance of getting a ship that has lockers. Managed to get a couple lockers by regular while collecting PO8 but you gotta board the ship. But lapeste lockers only drop 2 of his cosmetics atm. The remaining 3 are probably locked from new ghost ship.

I completed this Plague Prince challenge last night. I started with 13 heads aboard my level 12 Brigantine, with 2000 cannonball, 500 mortar, and 500 bombard. Sailing of the coast of The Oubliette Outpost, it took quite a while to aggravate the Plaguebringers enough for the Prnce ship to arrive. By the time it spawned, I was well out of cannonball and down to 50 bombard ball. I lost track of total enemy ships sunk but it was probably about 20-30 including two Prince ships that dropped one La Peste locker and one each Mystery Chest among other loot. Keep in mind I did this solo and finished without cannonballs. Tough but not impossible and sailed away with 19 heads.

Basically have heads in your ship, kill ships till max 4 threat level, then look for plague princes.

Think like a developer. The different chests have different loot tables. Once you unlock all the cosmetics from one chest type, you will no longer get them from that chest type, thereby making the chest look worse than others.

thx for the tip riding around with 5 heads and got 2 lockers so far wasnt aware of that.

did this already... opened 40 chests from plague princes and 7 from le peste... got one customisation item... and all other 46 chests were a handful of silver and some 1-5 helm materials... these treasure chests arent worth the time and effort

I was trying this solo and didn’t get too many spawns (I had 17 heads and pieces of eight so..) but I heard that you can insta spawn one (any ship not specifically the plague prince, to do that one you would have to be lvl 4 aggro and there is only a 50% chance or so if it spawning I think, 25% next update) by having someone leave and rejoin the server and your group (can’t confirm however, haven’t tested it)

I did this, and when I sailed to close to the outpost Mother of shipwrecks I lost all my aggro/wanted skulls, I encounterd the Plague Prince once, after 45min of farming with 10 captain heads in my cargo

You can also carry po8 in your cargo and that gives you one skull so you can get to 4 with less heads

shame they nerfed this today with the update, you need 10 heads to get a 25% chance to spawn him instead of 7 heads and a 50% chance to spawn him. so before update you get the them spawn on you even with 1 head in your inventory, but with 7 heads in your inventory or in your group you get a 50% chance to spawn the mini boss more often. but as of today you need 10 in your or your group to get a 25% chance to spawn the mini boss - the plague prince. {EDIT} you keep spawning the plague prince randomly after each plague bringer ship kill / you have a 25% chance to spawn one. you do not lose agro as such as you still have the heads on you / in inventory.

Did this last night just out side den so you can drop loot when full ended up with 17 Lepeste Chest along with tons of other loot. Kingpin level went as well.

If you also do outside den loot pieces of eight from factory across bay will also spawn rogues so it’s non stop action.

When you board the little ship with that drop the head they sometimes drop a La peste locker chest

You can get le peste caches from the big ships but it's super rare drop

I only ever carry at least 2 heads on me at most and have gotten chest from simply doing my eights run...oh in case y'all were wondering, the new ship is easy mode lol

Store the heads in the warehouse it spawns the bigger plague ships faster. Tested earlier today and it seems to spawn them faster this way. 3 to 4 marks gets freaking crazy

Nearly everything. I'm a bit of a hoarder on the game because I like to keep a huge stock in case I need some emergency silver or need something for a quest or to build a new weapon, ship, piece of furniture or something.@@danielboldock7658

Made a very similar post, this is a solo game with small flashes of multiplayer. Absolutely 0 participation on almost every server. I already gave up trying, now if I can't solo it, it doesn't get done... maybe chat will help once it works, but currently the multiplayer is lacking everything, including players!

When u try death plaque no 1 joins. Need up death in discord so can find others. Did you set up a wolve pack channel yet set up groups hunt together. How would we hook up. Way to change servers,?

You just have to get the plaguebearer agro to level 4 and the “plague prince” will show up. Kill him and he’ll drop the le peste locker but I believe he drops the locker once every 24 hours

doesnt work well in solo from my experience.. I started with 10 heads, it took forever to get to level 4 threat and then it actually went down to level 1 again after I got 1 chest (from a normal hunter no less.. didnt even see any pest prince spawn lol)

Heads drop from skirmishers they are all over the place mostly in Indian ocean.

I've been doing this for a few days, usually just outside Sainte Anne safe zone, if you some crazy dude just hanging around and blasting Peste fleet ships, come join in. (The prince is pretty easy if you have the anti poison hull)

After your last video I am surprised to see you in a Sambuk I thought for sure I would have seen ya in a Barque.

If you want to max out your cargo take from this do it just outside of Saint Anne as soon as you our your crew get over incombered lemp your way to the port and you don't have to wait to get out of combat just drop all your cargo and restock and head back out to fight it turns into alot of fun/chaos when the whole session joins in I ended it with 40 lockers 70 mysterious chests 150 silver chests 85 regular chests and 12 silver pouches not counting the hundreds of sellable loot it was insane

I tell no lies but I will say that was a 3 hour long session just before the server shut down for maintenance last Friday it was 6 of us friends plus some randoms and we each had no less than 10 heads each one of us had 25 heads the last hour we were getting 3 big boy Briggs at a time it was insane

The Le Peste lockers are a joke , they literally carry lvl 1 ship loot .

I got to make some friends to play with. I am level 9, and collecting heads is hard. Those level 10 and eleven are tanky. I am now kingpin level 1, still level 9. On my first takeover I thought it was PVP, but It was just to bring down as many npc ships you could. I won it. And to do that many times, its overwhelming. The only pretty good weapon I got in the mail. Fire bombardo 3. I have nr 2 on rest of the ports. I really want the dardanelles. " Can be bought at the manger of....." Every good thing is at the f manager To make 1000 pieces of eight, or more, seems impossible to do. One thing I hate, your medkits, why wait to take another? ? Come on Ubishit, let me take as much medkits I want. Maybe then I will live longer with those tanky fu.. lol

Its a specific color set and pattern that reversees most of the colors on the sail. It also does not look that bright pink during daytime in game.

It's a bug. If u click on the last npc or that u interacted with, it solves it or close the game and reopen the game.

Just kinda salty that i havent got anything good from the loot. Beat em 5 times with randoms and got all weak shit 😭😂

I wondered how I magically had two all of the sudden. I thought I had forgotten to get rid of some that I put in the warehouse.

"Get your chests the easy way" explains why nobody does le peste or any other coop events! they might as well remove group events since nobody does them on any servers, call for help, nobody ever shows. And if some random does join you they just sit in town and wait for you to do the work and they just collect. This is not really a multiplayer game, its an exploit race! Look at the top 1000 on the leaderboards, theres your best exploiters! I couldnt solo le peste because you just cant do enough damage, now i dont have to, can skip him entirely! at this point Im Kingpin 50, 99% solo, screw everyone else... i like this game, but i see it collecting dust very soon... this was touted as multiplayer... its a solo game!!

This game was fun untill you become a Kingpin. Now its just: Loot commodities, sell them. Do your pieces of eight runs and thats everything🙃
