One thing I'd appreciate in these videos is a discussion on potential best of one builds/ratios. A lot of stores are doing best of one due to time constraints, and a discussion of concessions would be helpful.

I'll see if I can sometimes speak briefly about it, but my focus right is is geared towards tournament play, which will include BO3.

@@CorgiBiS ya that was cool! Had issues making aggro feel manageable without the blue removal though, but there's some big power plays in that one.

If you play an Iden and want to sideboard the big ships in the deck, what do you take out??

Make an opening doesn't do much there, baze is an option, trimming down on 2 drops (yularen most likely)

Ok, so I took this deck to my local tournament, went 3:1 (the one lost was a draw since we didn’t get to even start game 3). Played vs. Han, Chirrut, GI, GI Couple of thoughts: 1) Was lucky enough to not run into Sabine BUT I knew my local meta pretty well and was fairly sure there would be just 1 or 2 aggro decks so I liked my odds. 2) Real MVP of this deck is Regional Governor. I used it to block Scout Bike Pursuer vs. GI and make them skip turn one play, same was with Chirrut red and naming A-Wing. Won me a game 1 vs. Han by blocking Home One turn 8. Honestly, this card carried a lot of weight and I was never sad to see it in my opening hand or later in the game. 3) When you are at 8 resources the best part of this deck is just a threat of Palpatine being able to deploy. I won games when I didn’t even had to do it because people were playing so much around it that I just finished them off with what I had on board and removal. 4) Most of the games started for me after I already had 20+ dmg on the base and them having 0 so I needed to make my peace with this fact as well. 5) Taxing on the brain with this deck is tremendous. I would really think twice before bringing this to a larger tournament as I was literally exhausted after 4h of playing this. Thanks wooooo, fantastic deck ❤

This is great content! I’m getting into the game now and really appreciate the videos that you put out. I would appreciate if you have any suggestions for good beginner decks to play. I have a MTG background, but im struggling to adapt to the tempo of SWU. I was hoping to play control in the long term, but I feel that my game knowledge is not robust enough yet to take a control role. I was planning to focus on boba green that has a more proactive game plan. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Boba is not a bad choice. It has a lot of very powerful and direct play lines, and even if you end up moving off it, it will help you play against it. But if you like control, I think maybe trying out iden green will be another to check out!

Oof that's tough. Do you know what your locals play? If there's lots of Sabine around id skip Palp, but he's quite strong vs boba and other control

I don't think it helps much in our difficult match ups to be honest. Even when I've tried to steal units vs sabine I feel like I get blown out!

Which deck is the most fun? Palpatine blue or Krennic green, i think both are powerfull as hell vs aggro

I've been having a blast with Palp, and I like Iden too. I do think Sabine aggro can be tricky to deal with when playing this list

I would definitely find room for vigilance, and I think main deck entrenched will be useful vs aggro (to help with a bigger overwhelming barrage). But I also don't think I'd run this if I expected a huge portion of an event to be playing Sabine.

I'm figuring out which decks to bring to the ukge in birmingham bc there will be 3 tournaments so i was considering playing control but i'll probably stick to my baby Iden (i really believe she can be successful) edit : just wondering if i still want to run palpatine (i got the showcase last month so i'd like to show off a bit :p) maybe considering a more mid range red list ?

Either you prep for the mill plan (Restock/Vigilance + Spark of Rebellion/Bounty Hunter Crew), which is a game plan I'm not super interested in, or you try to overwhelm them with your Palp Flip + capital ships, Relentless being key here. You will likely need answers to Entrenched with this plan, and maybe even Emperor's Legion to buy back defeated ships.

Ya I think Vigilance makes a lot of sense. I don't have many other updates. Entrenched from SB to mainboard is probably solid given the state of the metagame!

@@iamwooooo I’ve tested with your list a ton, and I’m 15:3 in games at my lgs. I’m running the entrenched MB too, but without Superlaser blast it’s a bit strange, even only putting it on enemy space or my units. Will probably go to 2 entrenched. Thoughts on what you cut? Snow trooper for me was the first to go.

I think that I would take Lieutenant childsen over baze no conditional sentinel and is a official yeah you have to have blue cards in hand but you can plan that and even at only a 4 4 is better then baze.

I'm looking for the sentinels to have 5 health. 4 is not a good break point in my experience.

Mentioned a bit in the vid that it's definitely a consideration, but our leader is an 8 play that is also removal and a legitimate win con. Blast doesn't always line up well for how im approaching this particular list.

To add to woo's comment SLB is really overrated atm. It's possibly okay against Boba, not good against Sabine and pretty bad against control mirrors as well. SLB just looks like a good out but it doesn't actually get much value in reality because "go wide" options aren't really that common in this set.
