Unlike Pluto - We're Screwed

Музыка

HELLO! So this song is about how I learn most of life's most valuable lessons through watching a lot of movies and tv. It's weird to admit this, but whenever I have obstacles in my life, the FIRST thing that pops in my mind is a specific moment in a movie or show. So for this song I imagined myself in a movie where the world is ending, and i'm saving the person I love from imminent doom. But maybe there is something to be said about acquiring unrealistic expectations in life, expecting your prince charming or saving a damsel in distress. Often movies have good endings, and life really doesn't work that way. I guess i live in my own little world, but hey, i wrote a song about it! Anyways, my brain hurts, and I hungry, HOPE YOU ENJOY THE SONG. PLUTO OUT - fanlink.to/wscrew

LYRICS:
VERSE:
Oh darling, are we an archetype?
A part to play, living by written lines
Downfalls, just so I can rise
Above it all, and learn a lesson of life
Mmmmm, living inside of a lens
Mmmmm, panning and fading, the colors degrading
After it all
We’re gonna die
Don’t wait for me after I’m gone
Cause in the end
Our purpose was to play a role
Packaged and sold
Oh honey we’re screwed
Oh darling, am I the only one
Eyes wide, while everyone else is shut
Dancing, choreographed
Stuck inside of 4 walls, how long can it last?
Mmmmm, living inside of a lens
Mmmmm, panning and fading, the colors degrading
After it all
We’re gonna die
Don’t wait for me after I’m gone
Cause in the end
Our purpose was to play a role
Packaged and sold
Oh honey we’re screwed
Earthquake
Falling from the sky
We’re all gonna die
We’re all gonna die
After it all
We’re gonna die
Don’t wait for me after I’m gone
Cause in the end
Our purpose was to play a role
Packaged and sold
Oh honey we’re screwed

I do something similar while writing some stories, like a one player adventure I create. One I’ve had going for like 8 years now is about a end of the world situation where the economy and government has collapsed and the world turned into all out chaos. In the story the main character survives through a lot of loss and struggle, becoming the leader of a large clan of people. She also struggles to be a fair and kind ruler while constantly being threatened by larger kingdoms of other people. I tried to make the story seem more fun and keep the main character human and not a all powerful, constantly successful, heroic being. I like character flaws and I think it’s important to recognize them and try to learn and grow from them.

@@svenoualpha9673 Nah. The music reminds me of the first game. It doesn't remind me of the game's music. It reminds me of Joel and his daughter, Sara, and her unfortunate death. And after that, his unwillingness to get close to Ellie, and how she broke down his walls and he grew to love her. And after their journey, how Ellie was meant to die. I can't give any commentary on the second game, since I didn't finish it, but it hits very hard with my thoughts on the first one. Though, yes, the picture is also very reminiscent of the first game. the visuals to me is what makes this song emotional to me. Because knowing that there is an end to the world, it just makes me feel so sad but happy and nostalgic for some reason? It’s just, this reminds me of A Fnaf movie of an animatronic time traveling to the future and seeing the end of the world like in the visual of this video. It makes me feel so emotional abott ur everything in every point in time. Like honestly, it just makes me think of space and the never ending void of the cosmos. The stars, the atoms, the universe, it’s just makes me cry…Knowing that there will be an end to the earth, it makes me feel at peace it will be like this song and the visual in the future….

The Pluto Tapes series are still some of my favorite albums I've ever heard from anyone and I still continue to happily listen to your music. I see new songs coming out all the time and I always listen to them and it's so god damn cool to see you doing new things that aren't entirely different. Your experimentation lately has been kick-ass, and my older brother (an avid fan of death metal but your music too) was incredibly happy to hear you experiment with screaming in some of your newer songs. I personally favor the ones you pack the most emotional resonance into - lucky for me, that entails a ridiculously high number of your songs. Keep it up, brother man.

Out of your latest songs , i believe this is the best! I can relate to the message as well, ngl music(you for example) taught me more important lessons than school had. And i think that's very precious. Movies make life so much more interesting man...

Love the song. And it's meaning is really relatable since I do the same thing. Movies and TV did teach me a lot of lessons and I relate most of my experiences to them. Helps me work through obstacles, I think.

Damn, I remember listening to Everything Black when it first dropped and I sadly forgot about it shortly after until I just found an old micro SD in my drawer with loads of my songs I had, started playing through them, went through some knife party, pegboard nerds, noisestorm, and then Everything Black came on and I remember how much I loved that song and I just had to find you again 💛

Hello sir, this is more than great, musically, the lyrics, the fantastic chorus, everything puts you in the mood of the song. And on the other hand, the message, it is already known that we are all going to die one day, that the "script" of our lives is already written, but sometimes you have to get out of character, break the fourth wall and enjoy it to the fullest before the end. All my love from Uruguay.
