A treat listening to wrestling legends like Austin Idol talk about the NWA. Part Two of the conversation. I'm sure he'll talk about his appearances in Memphis Wrestling. That's also where some of his historic matches took place. Including the infamous Loser Loses His Hair Match inside a steel cage.

Idol is one of my favorites,if only for his talent on the mic. By the way, nice mint condition 1975 program. Idol and Rich were also a favorite of mine. It didn't matter if they were tag partners or funding with each other.

I disagree. Idol gives no details and just as Corgan is about to get something out of him he interrupts or changes the subject. I love the attempt, but I want more.

This is pretty cool its funny to imagine guy having 3 Bodyslams to win :). I remember when that was a big move though. I was never big on Stan Hansen as mostly he was in Japan anyways. Almost every move I think was like a big deal or finisher when it first started out. Hawk would do that thing about bouncing off and up on the Piledrivers. Road Warriors were always the toughest making it difficult to believe them ever losing. All these stories are fun. I wish I saw this on the debut as Birthday is kinda blah to say least. Instead of Pistachio No Fill Cake ended up with some Blue Cake from Smurf Village or something hehe. Funny if was getting heat had him opening up the show. Though should probably say time of the live Power too :).

U wanna hear wrestling stories from a true troubadour inside and outside the ring? Go listen to The Rip Rogers and Von Lilas Podcast here on KZread... Rips been around, around!! Wrestled just about everyone there was to put over.. Awesome heel who had Miss Brenda Britton, whom was his wife, as his valet.. ICW Poffo was most definitely my favorite work of his! The Eye Of The Tiger Match vs Lanny Poffo... then there was the match where Rip lost his hair to Lanny!! That was quite hilarious to see!! Rip spent so much time around the Poffo's, his stories about the family are ao cool hearing... Austin Idol and Rip Rogers had some memorable matches against one another! Ty for the post
