I custom paint & airbrush Cars/Harleys for a living... I noticed that you sprayed the adhesion promoter AFTER you already painted the soles. When it comes to using promoter in my field - Its needs to be sprayed Before the basecoats.... & ,, As far as the protector goes - Have you wrapped the entire sole up over the sides ?
