Thank you SO MUCH for this video! I've been studying everything I can find online for my 4-H horse judging finals to qualify for state, and this video sums up everything I've read perfectly in a visual way to "cement" it in my mind.

The bay mare on 15:17 has a very mustangy body type. I honestly wouldn't be suprised if there is a freezebrand under that mane lol.

When comparing the second set of horses, the "braided mane mare" is actually a "braided mane GELDING" You simply missed the shealth. 😊

I think you need to read the halter judging manual provided on the AQHA website.

Interesting video but the main thing a horse needs is good feet --for if a horse has everything presented as ideal in this video and has terrible feet --what good is the horse? The second thing a horse needs is SPEED-speed to catch a calf. What is wrong with show horses is the fact that the Quarter Horse industry has differentiated to 4 types of horses--1 show horses, 2 race horses , 3 cutting horses, and 4 all around horses. The main thing I do not like about this differentiation is the fact that the show horse (or the type the judges select) can not run fast enough to catch a calf or to head a cow--all they do is look pretty.

Oh my gosh, halter horses look so weird..
