What a wonderful piece of Americana! Everything was so very typical. You saw that type of furniture in everybody's homes. The clothing. The carpets. The kitchen appliances. Cramming all those people in one little house. Makes you pause for a moment and go back to those days in your mind. How wonderful they were!

Iit's a beautiful film of a different day. Who knows how it got separated from the family. All it takes is one irresponsible descendant and the family history gets lost. We are making tough choices in our family right now trying to figure that out how to pass down our memories. Digital copies of photos and videos, etc are being made to hand out to all family members to increase the odds of keeping the family history intact. Thanks for the post.

I could put some of my families 50's home movies online and show them to my nieces, nephews etc. and they would have no idea who anyone was.

Amazing how common smoking was in social settings. No "smoking lounges" outside on the porch! I am disappointed , however in the fact that NO ONE has claimed this film as their home movie. after being on KZread for 4 years..

We don't know where all these folks are now. They just may not be on youtube to view it yet is all. It don't it have to be dark memories to be unclaimed.
