If I went out into the town that I live in and asked a bunch of random strangers if they knew anything about Malta, 99% of them would look confused and say “no.” Most people around here (I live in Arkansas) couldn’t even tell you anything about Germany aside from what they’ve seen in WW2 movies, let alone a country like Malta.

Absolutely not! There lies 300 km between the two countries. Both are completely within Italy, but have nothing to do with each other. San Marino is a republic, while the Vatican lies within the city of Rome, but being independend and ruled by the pope.

Geographically Georgia is in Asia (in Trans Caucasia), being south of Caucasus. Merely because Georgians want to be known as Europeans it is put in Europe. Joseph Djugashvili. otherwise known as Stalin, was from Georgia.

Caucasus (say Europeans themselves who artificially, non-geographically made Europe as a continent, based on European ethnicity) runs north of Georgia (check it out) passing throough North-South Ossetia border. I as a Geographer can't accept the human, popular version. Geography & Earth's land forms existed million years before men(Homo Sapiens ) came on Earth. Who are they, after all to impose their unnatural definitions? Hmm...?

Russians are Europeans (ethnic Rus) all, whiter than most Whites. All Asiatics in that country are called (not ethnic) 'Russian' nationals. You people suffer from a severe incurable disease of Euro-centrism? Geographic basis of delineating continents is never humans' ethnicity. Europe has been named a continent by Europeans yet, on that basis. Continents were here like that even when there were no humans on them. No continent-pair has more than a land border of a hundred miles (if ever), to qualify for a continent. No, but look at Europe? It doesn't qualify for a continent with a 4000 mile border with Asia. At least the Europeans (after conceding their point) must keep their mouths shut (& their other ends)now. But No! The bas tards never learn nor know what is a Continent. What to do with them? In the times of antiquity the border between Europe and Asia was marked by Polibius as (South to North) Dardanelles strait (Hellespont), Marble Sea (Propontida), Bosphorus Strait, Black Sea (Pontus Euxinus), Kerch strait (Bosphorus Cimmericus), Azov Sea (Palus Mæotis), Don river (Tanais). Then in XVIc. Gerhardus Mercator marked the border further from the Don offsprings straight north up to the White Sea. Nowadays the Eastern geographic border of Europe is officially marked in Russia as a line from the Baydaratskaya Guba Bay of the Karsky Sea (600 km east from Kanin Nos peninsula of the White Sea) to the south along the ridge of the Ural mountains comes to the territory of Kazakhstan (yes, this vast Central Asian country is partially Europe) along the ridge of the Mugodzhar Hills then on the river Emba, then across the Caspian Sea to the mouth of the river Kuma, then through the Kumo-Manych depression to the lower reaches of the Don river and further coincides with border marked by Polibius. It's some 200-300 km to the north from Caucasian ridge, so geographically Georgia, Armenia are not Europe. Their politics have another opinion, though.

I really do like this video, although I must say it's not complete, leaving out the Vatican City, which is the smallest sovereign country both by area and population. And if you mention the Sovereign Order of Malta, then you also ought to mention the Holy See - many confuse the Holy See with the Vatican City, but actually it is a seperate sovereign entity, consisting only of the pope and thus making it even smaller than the Order of Malta. And it is in fact the Holy See and not the Vatican City that maintains diplomatic relations with other states and is represented at the UN (although not a member). But still: a very good video. Carry on!

Georgia was only briefly part of the Transcaucasian Federation, which fell apart from infighting between the members - Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. But, Georgia stayed independent from USSR for about 3 years after that under the name of Democratic Republic of Georgia.

Maltese here, I would point out that Malta was never occupied by the greeks and neither by turkish ottomans, the same order of Malta had defended the Island in many battles against the ottomans most known in the great siege of 1565.

Luxembourg and Monaco are well known, even to non-europeans. As an european, I knew about all of these. I even knew about the order of malta because I once saw a vid about it
