If you've practiced the Goldberg Variations on piano sequentially, you'll probably view Variation 29 as something of a milestone, considering all the musical and technical challenges Bach presents us with in this colossal 2 manual masterpiece, along the way.
Variation 29's alternating trill-like chords are a continuation of sorts from the preceding Variation 28, a trumpet fanfare closing the set variations as a grand finale. Bach indicated Variation 29 could be played on 1 or 2 manuals so is comfortable to play on piano.
Variation 30 is marked "Quodlibet" which is a lighthearted humorous piece of music that weaves melodies together in counterpoint, the origins can be traced back to the 15th century.
I've added fingering in both variations and minor changes to the urtext in Variation 30 in these bars highlighted, which you can download as part of a free PDF "Bach Goldberg Variations for Piano" from a link below.
Here's Variations 28, 29 and 30 run together in an overhead keyboard view.
Here's Variation 29 and 30 at a slow tempo for those looking for complete fingering suggestions.
