​@@robuu5890my guy cleric is the better fighter rn. He can wear ruby silver and has up to 30% armor pen. A cleric which deals 0 dmg is a no needed healing bot

Yeah 3vs1 lol. But thats's the game. Its about team communkcation and using the environment and buffs/shrines/potions/perks etc to your advantage

​@@user-zw4xz2mc2qthe game is actually fully rendered so what you see from first person where your weapon/shield is, in the actual 3d space in the game its in that exact same spot, even mid swing. That sounds not that impressive but you'd be surprised how many games just put animated hands in front of your 1st person camera and your weapon is just a picture that doesn't stick out near as far as you thought it did in the 3d space, like having a rifle in your hands sticking out a foot and a half and your standing face first 1 inch from a wall but it still seems like it's taking up space that's not there. But there's none of that in darker and darker, if you go for a swing even in the windup if you hit something with the end of your weapon it'll bonk off. You can crouch under a stuff being swung too

I had a cleric boost me like this and a wizard gave me haste, fire daggers and made me invisible to run up to the enemy, and I was only running weak point attack and rupture and all DPS perks and holy hell a buffed rogue feels like I'm using orichimarus curse mark your so fucking strong

Damn cleric casted fast back then, Regardless I love the combat in this game because it is so simple. success is linked more to team communication, timing, using the environment, not taking too much PVE damage, and using your spells/gear/buffs/shrines etc to your advantage. Sure you can block and dodge but often time it's pretty difficult to do reliably, and you can't interrupt an attack to block for instance (which I actually like for the above reason!) What I'm trying to say is getting hit is a fact of this game, regardless of movement speed, etc, so it's better to think tactically than to try and 'outskill' people. Unfortunately it makes gear extremely OP and if you're a geared trio you can smash 2/3 of the lobby.

Yeah most of the combat is like rock em sock em robots where you just hit eachother until someone dies. Crouching and jumping can help avoid some hits but yeah it's all very gear dependant

Ok these guys are just idiots. In any game the strat is to ALWAYS kill the healer first. Literally the rogue could've atleast tried to go for the mage while the warriors DISTRACTED the barbarian.

Totally agree. This is still early alpha, there is a long way to go but it's already super fun. The devs said they expect to work on this game for 20 years, we'll see how legit that is

You can, you need to increase your level first and then the tavern hall gets opened up to you so you can group with people.

Give him a better weapon next time. With a quarter staff he could have done it faster for example, faster swings easier to hit
