University Student By Day, International Footballer By Night
Спорт
This film was researched, written, produced, directed and presented by Danny Sayers.
Danny is a filmmaker from Oxford, who heard of a player from his local side Abingdon United who also plays for the Gibraltar national team, Jayce Olivero. This film follows Jayce as he transitions from university student to international footballer, capturing Gibraltar’s amazing UNL campaign along the way.
This film was funded by our newly launched Creator Commissions initiative. Each month, there is a grant of up to £1000 accessible to any COPA90 fan and filmmaker to tell a story they feel the football community should know about.
Thanks to Adam Brown for the footage. Check out his KZread channel here: / @footballwithbrownie

I think it’s great... Gives the underdogs a chance to actually play in competitive games and saves the top countries playing pointless friendlies

Amazing no words as I’m from Gibraltar it is a true privelage to see this
this was very cool, thank you copa90
really really love the editing. especially that view from the back scene, from entering the college with backpack, skipped through entering the tunnel with #8 kit and ends with pre match shirt with gibraltar on it. capturing not about someone, but about dreams and hopes about a little nation. keep it up mate!
This video was put together fantastically! Very well edited and paced, well done!
For anyone wondering they lost 4-0 to Macedonia after Still a great effort for a rock on the coast 🇬🇮 Would have been so funny one of the home nations didn’t qualify but Gibraltar did
How have I only just found this? Jayce is a national hero, proud to call him our own 🇬🇮
Gave me goose bumps several times, awesome video, thanks so much, we are so lucky to live in a community like this, long live Gibraltar.
Great video! Well done copa90 for funding this, hopefully many more interesting stories to come

Great doc
An extremely so fantastic video forever, ever and ever in every generations that we would be born!!!:-D
damn never thought Gibraltar issuch a small nation but yet such an amazing community. 33.000 people is like half the size of my hometown here in NL, but nowhere near looks like such a good place to live as this.
We've got TWO Gibraltar internationals at West!
Big up Gibraltar 🇬🇮🇬🇮🇬🇮
What a beautiful film
Football is universal. There is talent in every single corner of every country. It's a shame minorities, and third world countries have been locked down upon in football terms, as if talent is granted via specific European or South American people only. Even though we've seen the likes of George Weah who's from a commonly unknown country that is Liberia, succeeds so much in football that he lifted the balloon d'or in 1995.
Brilliant
nice one man, keep at it jayce !

Have a nice
I love how they didn't hesitate when asked what's the most popular sport in Gibraltar. It's the same for me and everyone in my country, Maldives. We know we're shit, but we're still passionate about our football. I once got racially insulted by a bunch of Iranians when I tried to analyze a BPL match on a football forum. They equated the intelligence of people to the quality of our national teams. Idiots.

Typical intolerant Iranians! They hate a lot of people, don’t worry. Don’t let bullies come between your passion for the beautiful game

The video was great but I disliked it because the only Macedonia I know exists in Greece...and I know it for a fact...cos' I'm a fucking Greek...their name must be I dunno...Skopje or Vardarska...or their most known name FYROM (and that's too heavy also)
