TN is 8th all time in wins but didn't start playing football until 12 years after Michigan. Hence the 100 or so win difference. Probably the case for all the teams in the top 10. It's easy to have more wins when you get a head start

This is nothing compared to the medical facilities on that campus. It is an absolutely outstanding campus.

The men's and women's basketball teams have their own facility called Pratt Pavilion. It was built 3 or 4 years ago.

Honestly, there are a lot of great facilities that are all about even so you can't really put one ahead of the others. So I would put A&M, UT, Nebraska, Oregon and Okie Lite in the same division.

Unfortunately college sports like any other business is about making money..These athletes generate revenue for the school and all the ticks and leeches that can hang on. I may be looking at this through shit colored glasses but i think the powers that be care only about getting those athletes on the field. They have to maintain a 2.5-3.0 GPA at most schools i believe. A 3.0 can be tough to maintain while devoting all of your free time to athletics. Especially if the only reason you were accepted to this school is your athletic abilities.

Wait a minute.... Did this just say "...coached by the best staff in college football" and later say "...Derek Dooley's practices will go on"? LMAO!!! Anyhoo... I'm an Alabama fan but I wanted to see what the enemy is doing. To all the people out there who see this and consider building such an expensive facility unnecessary, you're forgetting something : You simply must do things like this in today's college athletics because everyone else is doing it. Thus, you can't afford to fall behind if you wish to succeed. The days of only sinking this much capital into something so luxurious because you won a championship or got a lot of money from a generous donation- those days are over with. In today's SEC athletics you have to constantly try to stay ahead of the competition, because you had better believe someone is out there right now trying to stay ahead of everyone else too. In case you don't know this yet, Tennessee did this because Alabama, LSU, Florida, Texas A&M, Auburn, and Arkansas were all upgrading their facilities too. So if it makes you feel any better, just know that Tennessee did this because they couldn't afford not to.

So true, Tennessee and Alabama have the Top of the Line facilities in football

But, I do disagree with anyone who bitches about the money aspect, this is being paid for by the fb program and only the fb program. They make the money by selling out a 100,000+ stadium 7-8 times a year. Whether it's necessary? That's another question

I would not have put that much resources into one building dedicated to one sport. I would have extended that building to include all of the sports that Tennessee offers. It seems a bit of a waste to put so much money and sheer resources into one sport, no matter how much it is valued.

I hate to say it, but the other sports just aren't as important. Football brings in a LOT of money for the school and the city of Knoxville! It's a gigantic deal here.

Megan Hill what im trying to say is that most likely that weight room is for all the sports to enjoy that pool recovery is for all sports to enjoy, ive seen and visited a couple colleges and the gym, recovery,and sports physician room is for sports from football to womans lacrosse to soccer to basket ball now the indoor. And outdoor feilds are for football but those are essential to football to have
