Interesting on Winnicott but misunderstands Kuhn on paradigms. Winnicott may present a different version of psychoanalysis but there's no paradigm shift involved. According to Kuhn a scientific revolution occurs when one paradigm is replaced by another, usually because the old paradigm consistently fails to explain observed phenomena. An example of such a revolution is the shift from Freudian psychoanalysis to Beck's cognitive model . See "Aaron Beck on Freud" here on KZread.

Pseudoscientific to compare Freud-to-Beck with Newton-to-Einstein. The introduction of CBT wasn't anything like a paradigm shift, despite the wilder claims of its proponents.
