I have worked at the university of Birmingham for over 13 years and seen many videos like this on KZread popping up. It’s such a shame the quietness and how different the past 12 months have done for the vibe for the campus. You guys did a excellent job showing the building with the understanding of the conditions and rule applied to keeping everyone safe. The Teaching and Learning building behind the library is a prefect place to study as the library can be full very quickly.

My son is doing his Master’s here after finishing his Degree last year...... still waiting for his Cap and Gown 🎓 ceremony boo hoo .... am still proud of him 💁🏽‍♀️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧This video reminded me of when my son took me to the uni for a tour..... I was a proud mummy....

Birmingham is ugly depressing place not safe people are rude and selfish

You two seem so nice and I love your uni videos. What's your social life at uni been like i.e societies, days/nights out, sports clubs, uni events, getting on with flatmates etc? I know your social life might have been limited due to covid but any info would be great, or you could even make a whole video if you don't mind. Thankss 🙂.

Very nice campus but a bit confusing at first, studied here until 2020. Staff are helpful and student accommodations are quite nice if you pay the right price

Heyy, I go UoB and am in third year. It really depends what department you go into. Some of the buildings are really really modern and newly renovated but some are quite old and outdated x

Heyy thank you! We’d advise calling your accommodation to ask because we’re not entirely sure, but it should be allowed as long as they’re not living there x but definitely also talk your flatmates to see what they’re comfortable with as it may be due to cultural or religious reasons they’ve chosen a single-sex flat

Where about is this in Birmingham because it looks so cool if it's in town (near bull ring) then I can go there when I go uni because it's near me

It’s got a good student life, like loads of restaurants, bars, pubs and clubs and the bullring is really big and nice if you like shopping! It’s not as classy as like London😂 but it’s a bigger city and I think great for students and studying xx

@@jordanspark5396 never experienced racist all my years as a minority and neither any of my family including my children that are now in the university. The university is situated in a very good part of Birmingham : partly Selly oak, Edgbaston and Harbone ,where l lives.

It depends on how far away you want to move from home x uni of Birmingham has so much to do! It’s so fun! London unis are integrated within the city so you don’t really get that campus student vibe all the time, but it has good social life if you know where to go x

I’m torn between uni of Sussex and uni of Birmingham. Both offers are the same. I prefer Sussex’s course, but I prefer Birmingham as a uni and it has better rankings. What do I do? I’ve been debating for months and Ive got nowhere with it:(

Hey Rebecca x we sort of had the same dilemma we were thinking of going to Portsmouth because it’s a smaller city and uni, so we thought we’d be more comfortable there, but we knew the rankings for our course were better at Birmingham, and in the end we think it was the best decision going for that bigger uni, so we could push ourselves out of our comfort zones, it feels scary at first, but you honestly adapt and it’s soo amazing here. In the end, you just have to think about where you think you’ll be able to thrive, do well in your course and have the uni experience that you want xx also, think about which uni you’d regret more not going to x ❤️
