Thank you Stuart for all the work you do in keeping us informed on all things benefit related. You have been so helpful to me in your videos. Navigating the way to understanding most of these benefits can be a nightmare. You are and have been a Godsend for people like myself.
I'm very worried about the future regarding benefits
Hi thank you so much for all you do please take care.
Well done Stu buddy, what I don’t understand is, your right we pay our national insurance when we’re working like I did myself until I had a injury on a building site in Cardiff back in 1997 , I was a block pavers labourer Stu and I lifted just half a little block and I pulled my nerve apart in my hip area buddy, it took the NHS 2 and a half years to diagnose the problem correctly yet I’ve had absolutely no treatment whatsoever apart from painkillers, why though? I paid my national insurance for all those years, and if I’m totally honest with you mate, I tried to get DLA six times and they refused me without even contacting my doctor okay, on the seventh time I applied for DLA I said that my doctor is finding it quite disturbing that I’ve applied 6 times and you haven’t had the decency to contact my doctor and I got it straight away, it makes me feel sick that you can injure yourself at work yet you got a very hard job to get anything back from the system Stu I honestly think it stinks. I’d imagine nowadays that it’s quite hard to fiddle the benefits system but I’m sure it can be done buddy, a great video well done Stu we seriously need people like you we really bloody do, take care of yourself buddy from Stevie boy.
Thank you Stuart xx
Thank you stuart
Thankyou
Currently experiencing the bureaucratic insanity. After the fourth Restart job interview and the employer telling my work coach (again) that a guy with a heart condition who walks with the aid of a stick and shedload of painkillers who could keel over without warning would basically be a liability stacking toilet rolls. So I was told to get a sick note by my work coach and they start the ball rolling to put me on the "Reduced capability work group", great I thought. Problem is if I fill out the form honestly I don't qualify as disabled enough. If I lay it on thick as many have advised and they find out, that's a whole level of wrath I don't want to mess with.

Bro ,dnt need to lay it on thick just be honest ,What I pray for is someone coming out to see me ,I prefer someone to actually test me come see why I had to stop working , it should be quite easy for them catching the have it ins but it seems they can’t even though I know four people in my street never worked a day in there life and claim for everything with no thought for anyone else ,eg ,a stair lift that never gets used I’ve seen her walk up the stairs ,enjoys her two holidays a year son does mma ,yes I’m not joking , How they find it hard to find the scammers totally blows my mind ,if some one from the benefit system where to watch them for two week ,they would be out having to work ,since I lost my job that I totally enjoyed after a bad motorbike acc doing a job inbeetween my painter and decorator skilled job but that had dried up in my area uk,so I used my motorbike to do couriering as. It was self employed aswell , If I had never taken that job and just went and signed on with my fused ankle from a previous acc ,I probably would have got dla but no I chose to work and guess what that acc might never have happened if I’d just said f,,,it painting will come bck in sooner or later ,se60 put good money in my pocket , two holidays a year and my new motorcycle when I wanted to buy one .to go on to benefits , Yeagh lots off people like going bck wards and missing out on the best bit the work crack and the people you meet .Yeagh loads off people just want to sit on there b,,,doing nothing all day personally it’s destroyed me .

Hi, house I am staying is sold and I have to leave. But this means my rent will increase by 80% , I work full time but if I pay full rent I will struggle too much, down to £ 100 after food or maybe £50 Is there any calculation how much can we get for rent top up? Also, can I apply for deposit help too, as it will be double payment before I move out to new place. Would they expect you to use your saving. TIA
I get LCWRA element on universal credit and i also get PIP to higher rate for both mobility and daily living. i have skeliosis, fibromyalgia, severe anxiety and panic disorder/ depression, is the LCWRA element being discontinued i hear and they are merging pip with this can anyone clarify this? Is really concerned me what is going to happen.
Hi Stuart, thanks for all your advice brilliant. As far as ESA is concerned do you think interest from a property inheritance would be classed as income if it's in a high interest account with no access, that kind of account if you see what I mean... Also if you could do a video around valid reasons for going abroad and for how long while claiming benefits that would be fantastic❤

There are reports of "targets to fail" from whistle-blowers like the person you know.
@StuartMcGoo
Жыл бұрын
I think the suggestion is that they are before the decision is made therefore directing the decision without careful consideration of the content of the person's application. The very high success rate of appeals suggests that this might be accurate, but there is no definitive proof as yet, only reports from whistle-blowers.

Can anyone tell me if I'm on employment and support allowance and change address do I have too go on universal credit?
Iv been wondering if I should claim ESA, Im currently on UC, work P/T 12.5hrs per wk, have mobillity issues and continuous fit notes stating I can work no more than 12.5hrs per wk, yet the jokecenter say 'no, you need to work 35hrs." Regarding PIP, my claim was 0 points, my reconsideration was 0 points, so wonder how many I will get with the tribunal...0 points lol.
It feels to me that simple random sampling = a convenient way to justify guesswork that suits the government when it 's helpful for them when it says what that want it to say....not a surprise. Sorry kinda neg atm but that's life :/

If your earnings are within the threshold then you should be able to claim but I cannot say what "claimant commitment" to looking for work that you would be given.
My friend has UC and curently employed part time, she has been asked to go to Job Centre saying she need to increase her hours/earnings to make sure is above the minimum earning UC request...is she continues to work emplyed and have some extra work as self emplyed (cleaning flr example) will this be taken into consideration and help increasing earnings above the floor income UC wants?
@StuartMcGoo

Yes it should be but she will need to be registered as self-employed, log this with UC (they may need her UTR number) and then she will have to update her earnings each month.

Hi stu, is it true a person over the age of 66 is not entitled for pip?
@StuartMcGoo
Жыл бұрын
A person can only apply for PIP if they are under state pension age. If they are awarded PIP earlier than state pension age then this will continue after they reach state pension age. If they are over state pension age and applying for a disability benefit for the first time they will need to apply for Attendance Allowance

I have come across many conflicting dates for this which is why I have not said definitively as yet. Initially it was supposed to be 2026 when announced 12 months ago, then in November the government were saying 2024 without definitively specifying whether they meant JSA and W.Tax Credits etc only or ESA as well, then it switched to 2028 and some sources say 2029.
