    Many thanks for explaining which vernier direction to read. I went through several other videos hoping to find this information, and whereas they all explained the concept of the vernier scale, none discussed which side of the point of origin to use in a given measurement. Thank you again.👍

    Nice video. Your presentation is simple, direct and very understandable. If a person uses the wrong vernier, the minutes reading will not look like the correct size of the expected degree.

    Awesome words of explaining this I have an older one made by Starrett and it's in very good shape (Ebay find) anyway I knew how to read it but this really helped understand it much better!! Great video's!!

    Very interesting. I'd heard of a vernier scale but I only recently learnt of the vernier protractor. Is there an equivalent of the micrometer screw gauge for measuring angles even more accurately?

    There are micrometers that will measure angles, inside and outside.

    Not that I'm aware of. Some manufacturers may make a longer blade...and possibly a graduated scale. Thank you for watching.
