Universal Autoload The EASY Way | Mod Tutorial | Farming Simulator 22

The times of editing mods or having to make & move cubes in the Giant's Editor can now be left in the past - you can now configure Universal Autoload (1.2.0.0) using nothing more than a text editor and Farming Simulator 22! This tutorial will show you how.
One note to all viewers - this method works for Single Player only. The same method can be used to configure mods for Multiplayer by doing the setup (following the video's instructions) in Single Player mode, and then copying the custom configurations into this mod: github.com/ddewar/FS22_Univer..., updating the multiplayer setting in the modDesc.xml to true, rezipping the mod and adding it to your server. I may do a follow-up video showing that process.

In case you don't want to watch (really?) here are the steps:
1. Download Universal Autoload 1.2.0.0 from Modhub: [ www.farming-simulator.com/mod... ]
2. Load into the game once, with the new version selected.
3. Exit the game all the way to desktop.
4. Decide what mods you want to add, and for each mod you'll need to find the mod's xml file.
5. Open your `UniversalAutoload.xml` configuration file (located in your FarmingSimulator2022 game settings folder, usually located on Windows 10 somewhere similar to: "C:\Users\username\OneDrive\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2022\modSettings\UniversalAutoload.xml"), and add a configuration line for each mod in the vehicleConfigurations section that looks like this: [ pastebin.com/FzQp5sTr ]
6. Open the game once more (note- make sure you have debug mode enabled), and make sure you select the mods you want to configure for UAL.
7. In game, when you walk up to the vehicle / trailer in question, you'll now see a bunch of boxes. the one that's in the middle is where the items will load, and the pink ones on the outside are where the items will load from.
8. Now, adjust the numbers in the xml file making educated guesses to what the values should be (while the game is open) and after each change, open the console and type "ualImportUserConfigurations" (or just hit the up arrow if that was the last thing you typed)
9. Repeat step 8 until the box is the right size, and in the right position.
10. Test by using some handy dandy console commands:
"ualAddPallets EGG", "ualAddRoundBales_125", "ualAddSquareBales_180", etc. All the commands you can use are documented on github [ github.com/loki79uk/FS22_Univ... ], or you can type "ual" and tap the tab key to cycle through the available commands.
11. If you find you need to adjust the position or size of the loading zone, do so now, and remember to use "ualImportUserConfigurations" each time you make changes.
12. If you need to clear the items, you can use the "ualClearLoadedObjects" command.
13. Once you are done, you can go back to the config file one more time and turn debug off. showDebug="false"

IF... you want to use out-of-the-box configurations for most Modhub trailers & vehicles, the recommended configurations can be loaded with the UAL Modhub Addon [ github.com/ddewar/FS22_Univer... ].
One thing to note IF you use the FS22_UniversalAutoloadModhubAddon - any configuration CAN be configured and overridden by your own UniversalAutoload.xml file as shown in the video above - ie: your own personal configuration will ALWAYS override the mod's configuration (if embedded in the mod itself) or a configuration that is loaded from the FS22_UniversalAutoloadModhubAddon

    Finally. Excellent tutorial. Just follow it step by step. It is really easy. The autoload was torture for me, but with this you can make it without editor. Many thanks for this tutorial.

    I’m glad it worked out for you - i’ve set up dozens of vehicles this way now, and it’s startling how fast you can do the conversion when you get used to the process! the same process works for setting custom container sizes too!

    BRUUUUUH!!!!! You are the Freakin Man!!! I have been wanting to add Universal Autoload to about 6 different log trailers I use. So I decided to watch a few videos on how to install it, needless to say I said "Screw That it's too much work" fast forward a few months later and I got really determined to get this task accomplished. Luckily this time I found your video and let's just say I just got UAL installed on 7 trailers in less than 15 minutes and they all work flawlessly.     same for the silverrun forest vehicles, but i’ve already worked with the UAL developer to get autoload configurations (including the forwarders) for all of the new silverrun vehicles

    I have watched you're video many times and thought I done it correctly even tried the completed configuration really don't know what I'm doing wrong. I get a red lua warning and game fails to load past 60% the warning is about xml file not found any help would be wonderful?

    Great tutorial, easy to follow. I have one small problem. I have debug on I can see the boxes, edit the loading area numbers and type ualImportUserConfigurations in to the console and get the message ualImportUserConfigurations : command not found. Any Ideas why it's not finding the command?

    Can u still updatemass="false" in .xml or does that not work with ual scripting?

    updateMass=“false” is only for the fillVolume block of the vehicle xml - has nothing to do with UAL

    Hello, it's a great tutorial! I tried here and i got successeful in configuration, but i have a problem when i try do load some thing from store. Did you have this problem? If yes, how did you fix it?

    It all depends on your configuration and if the loading zone on your vehicle / trailer is big enough to accept the thing that you’re loading.

    can anyone help i cant get the debug box to appear in game i did the mod folder and mod xml as well as the showdebug true but still nothing shows up what am i missing?

    Happy to help out if you want - one thing from your comment… the showdebug only works if you set it in the UniversalAutoload.xml file, not if you set it in the mod itself.

    Being totally new to this and not knowing anything I might have an answer for you. There was one more .xml file to edit which is the game.xml in the FarmingSimulator2022 original folder. I changed the false to true and the debug box appeared.
