Everybody knows when Yankee Doodle hits, super powers about to be born.
After all those years of hearing military music, after all those personal quarrels I have as a European with US politics it still gives me the chills hearing the yankee doodle and thinking about those patriots bravely marching against the empire and fighting for their freedom.

@Yeet Yeet we don't hate the European traditions so much. In fact, our culture has incorporated many of those traditions to make them uniquely American. We DID have a BIG issue with the tyranny of the rule and unfair taxation by King George of England. That was one of the major reasons why when our founders set up our government they didn't want a monarchy. Ideally it was to be a government of, by and for the common people. We got many of those ideas from the Native Americans who we lived peacably with in the beginning of our nation. If it weren't for them, the european immigrants would have NEVER survived. But then racism reared it's ugly head and ruined the once friendly relations we had with the native people. That's one "tradition" we should have left in "the old country".

To the people posting about the British looking uniforms, back in the day, field musicians were non combatants, so they would wear the colors of the opposing army to avoid being targeted by the enemy as regular soldiers, thus, American revolutionary field musicians would have worn British uniforms.

The declaration of independence calls us brothers.
If you want the ultimate in "how to parade military style" these soldiers do it best. I had the pleasure of seeing them in person many times. They display the epitomy of discipline. Imagine how horribly hot and itchy a woolen coat and wig are in the sweltering heat of Virginia on Independence Day. But they never fail to impress and represent our country proudly. May they never do away with this fine American tradition.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Excellent performance as always
Come, my brethren! Take courage and stand beneath our banner! The darkness closes in, and we are the only true defenders of the Light! March to victory and arise triumphant!
God bless all the men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we hold so dear. That flag flies because of them. God bless America.
