DRYLOK® Fast Plug® is a hydraulic cement that sets in 3 to 5 minutes. This product is perfect for patching cracks in masonry, adhering handrails, and filling the floor wall joint. This is an important step in the waterproofing process. First, chisel the crack into inverted "v". This allows Fast Plug® to lock into the surface. Then clean the surface with a wire brush to remove any loose dirt. Then go back and wet the surface so that the patch cures properly. Next prepare what you will need to fill the crack, by mixing 3 parts patch and 1 part water. Remember it sets in 3 to 5 minutes, so only mix as much as you can work during that time. Mix quickly and thoroughly, work Fast Plug® into the crack using a trowel, smooth any excess product with a wet rag so it is flush with the surface.
