Having been born in 1974 the UA theme from 82-87 was the best! that middle crescendo has always been a force for inspiration and intrigue to me.

The 1982-1987 logo always frightened me because of the way the music starts up. I remember it from the Pink Panther cartoon videos.

12:30 Before THX, this was the scariest logo to me as a toddler. My uncle probably has video of me putting in a James Bond VHS and covering my ears when this loud noise came on. Actually gave me chills watching this for the first time in probably 20 years.

Me too. Pink panther cartoons would have it and i couldn't fathom why anything this dark would be on with a cartoon.

19:36 7th logo variation is always my favourite - synonymous with the James Bond franchise.

For the longest time I remembered the 6th logo being on all sorts of programs that I loved growing up (82 kid here). I remember the powerful music for just that short logo, it popped into my head today, and I found it here. Brings back memories.

My favorite was always the '82-'87 one. Always watched it with Secret of NIMH on VHS.

You know what I just realized? The 9th logo at 20:52 used the same music that Pathé uses.

I don't think the 1919 logo is real either. It looks like the various logos after Transamerica sold UA to MGM.

@@tonycanabal1659 I looked into it and supposedly it was used as the logo for United Artist Theaters from it's founding in 1924. Whether or not it was used before that for the studio itself, I don't know.

Straight from United Artists Releasing Website - "In 2020, the 25th installment of the long-running James Bond franchise, produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, will also be distributed in the U.S. by United Artists Releasing." Happy 100 UA !

The 82/87 one was scary!

I really don't care for the recent logo. It has no vibrant power like the one from the 80s or 90s. It just feels like a logo in front of a blu ray most of the time. I don't see why they'd get bored of the old logos and update it with a more boring one.

You know, The 1930-1966 is the one that was in “Thunderbirds Are Go!”.

5:06 - 5:16: Starting logo for The Pink Panther cartoon shorts. I remember this at the big screen in 1981 and they played 1978's "Pink Trumpet". They also played a Tom and Jerry classic and another 1978 Pink Panther cartoon called "Pink Pictures".

Rocky III and V are the only Rocky films to retain it's original UA logos as of 2023 while Rocky, Rocky II which originally had the Transamerica logos which were both plastered while the original MGM/UA Entertainment Co lion ident from Rocky IV is plastered by the current CGI based MGM lion logo though on Rocky the Transamerica logo in the form of the 1977-81 logo was retained on the trailer in the budget DVD and the trailer on the Rocky Balboa DVD had the 1976 logo which initially opened the film and the 2001 DVD of Rocky II had the Transamerica logo at the start of the film and some copies of the 1980s/90s videos of Rocky had the 1976 logo which originally opened the film and the Transamerica logos bring back memories of watching Bond films on ITV in the 80s/90s/early/mid/late 2000s as ITV's Bond prints still had the Transamerica logos as recently as 2008-9

I recalled that logo used in 1978's "Pink Trumpet" at the big screen shown in 1981. One year later, ALL Depatie-Freleng cartoons (1964-1978) were aired in syndication in theatrical versions. Mister Jaw (1976) and Crazy Crane Legs (1978) had only the television version.
