The project includes a state-of-the-art baggage system. The early bag storage facility will be the only one of its kind in the United States.

This could be in preparation for a possible move of United's HQ from Chicago to Houston. Chicago O'Hare expansion is running over budget and United is threatening to move its HQ out of downtown Chicago if Chicago doesn't get these costs under control because United and American are the main airlines funding that expansion.

Ngl terminal B is a place I hate flying out of. I love C, D, and E where I can order food on my phone and the restaurants are better even though the prices are ridiculous. I have to connect through IAH a lot flying out of San Antonio and my carrier or choice is United. I mean we're a "hublet" for United but that only means terminal B has a United Lounge but I hope when terminal C is finished there's more amenities but idk

It would make more sense to just open a new airport and split the ground traffic between 3 major airports. Plan airport #3 well enough to put rail service to downtown and point between. IAH has had nonstop construction that never ends. It should just end at some point and only maintenance should be done instead of expansion.

Where do you propose to build this new 3rd airport? Also, what airport in the country does not have constant construction and maintenance is also construction is it not? I worked at IAH from 1984, until retiring in 2013, and IAH was always adding something to support a growing city and airline industry. Whether building Runway 9/27, or a new control tower, adding Runway 8L/26R, building Terminals D and E, remodeling Terminal B South, adding the Skyway train, rebuilding Terminal C North, connecting the Hardy Toll Road to JFK years ago, extending Runway 14R/32L (now named 15R/33L) and assocated taxiways, it just is not something that ends. Just like I-45 North and South of downtown the construction keeps on keeping on. Okay, I'll get off the soap box.

How about hiring more security for the parking garage at night? My disabled daughter flew in the other night and I used to be able to park and meet her in baggage claim to help her with her luggage since she has a weight limit she can lift and when I got to the airport the parking was closed off. Luckily, she only had one bag with wheels, and a nice person helped her get it off the conveyor belt, but this new policy of closing down the garage is affecting the disabled.
