Great discussion! Totally agree with Dan. I think that it is totally fair that Uniswap Labs is taking revenue from the swaps on the front end. The role of the token should be to decentralize the governance and ownership of the protocol, not necessarily to generate profit for the users. It's not a stock. And even if it were to distribute revenue, it shouldn't happen in the early stage of the protocol imo. Also, I wouldn't even say that the incentives are misaligned. Uniswap built a protocol that anyone can tap into, build their own frontend and so their own business. They took this opportunity themselves, too, and built a Uniswap frontend, wallet, and intents protocol. These parts are centralized and part of a business like any other. This business unit doesn't have to be totally transparent, and the DAO shouldn't really feel entitled to any revenue generated by these projects built on top of the protocol. But that's my view and I totally get that there might be various perspectives. Also, great to see Dan back!

Everyone's great, but I miss Dan; I was scared you'd left Blockworks. Good to see you back, even if just briefly. Great show, as always 👍

Dan was spot on about Solana L2 and dapp chain expansion. The concept of established dapps having to share block space will cause friction down the line. Eliminating as much friction as possible to make Solana L2s work together will be key.
