I just relate to this so much, cause I don't talk that much, I'm an introvert, not because i hate talking, i do, but when i think to start talking, the second thought will always be "will they listen? will they understand?" That's why I don't talk that much. And uniquee did a great job making a song for introverts like him and myself and for other introverts too. the orange-era songs would be the better comparison as to why unique left. unique spearheaded the band when he was still there, its just that, nadedeliver nya ang kanyang artistry pag solo lang sya. Comparing it through zild's musicality is weird kasi hindi naman talaga si zild ang main (pag si zild yung main, yung orange era na songs magkatulad sa clapclapclap or homework machine which was not) nung era na apat pa sila.

both have different approach to concepts and songwriting and yan ang gusto ko sa kanilang dalawa. if ever na hindi umalis si unique sa band, disagreement and tension might brew between them despite having different styles. i believe na mas nag-flow ang creative juice ni unique, same also sa iv of spades they kind of improved as a power trio.

the song, the visuals and himself is an art.

"introvert pala ako" Noong bata ako, pilit ako nakikibagay sa mga nasa paligid ko pero kahit anong gawin ko di ko magawang maitugma yung vibe, iniisip at kilos nila. LAging may sariling andar yung isip ko. Doon ko nadevelop yung hilig sa pagbabasa, panonood ng documentaries, pagguhit at pagsulat. Hanggang sa nadala ko sya nung highschool ako, una kong natikman yung freedom nung HS ako. Akala ko mawawala na yung awkwardness ko sa tao dahil sa sarili ko. Natutunan ko na kapag magisa lang ako, mas safe ako at kaya ko maging sarili ko. Hanggang sa naramdaman ko na iniiwasan nila ako, yung tipong gusto mo lang makipagkaibgan at makasama sila pero parang di ka nila maintindihan. Hanggang sa unti unti nakikita mo na iniiwasan ka nila tapos nakikisama na lang sila sayo. Kinain ako nun araw araw hanggang sa naging kahihiyan sa sarili ko pag naiisip ko yung mga bagay na ginawa ko para makipagkaibgan at pahalagahan sila. College ko langnalaman yung salitang "introvert" at masasabi ko na ganun ako. That feeling na puro kahihiyan yung nsa isip mo. Laging umaandar yung isip, may mga gusto na hindi gusto ng karamihan. Malalim sa bagay bagay, negatibo. May dala-dalang awkwardness sa tao. Pero hindi ko ikinagagalit na ganito ako. Dito ako masaya.

It somehow makes me irritated kapag may mga nagsasabi na, "sana bumalik na siya sa ivos". Una sa lahat, i'm pretty sure pinag-isipan nya yan ng matagal na panahon. Pangalawa, he's doing a great fucking job in creating songs. Instead of saying those things, just praise him for such an excellent work

I love how this music video weirdly feels like a representation for every soul and world of introverts out there. But kwento ko lang, as someone who has a hard time giving my vulnerability to someone, this song really hits close to home. Yung tipong, kung masasabi ko lang lahat, kung maipaparamdam ko lang kaso hindi ganun kadali, parating merong kaguluhan sa utak ko na di ko maintindihan. I liked a girl and told her to listen to this because it was what I truly felt for her. She liked the song and naging kami kasi along the way she fought for my inhibitions and always assured me na kaya ko. Even now andito siya para i assure ako. Marami ako natutunan about sa self ko dahil sa kanya. Wala lang, masarap lang balikan yung time na iniintindi ko pa bakit ganito ako o ganyan. Bilang isang introvert at nag struggle ng social anxiety, thankful ako sa mga ganitong kanta kasi knowing the fact na si Unique, isang sikat na musikero sa bansa ay katulad ko rin pala, somehow nakakapag bigay ng comfort. Anyways, thank you Nikoi! :) sorry ang haba.

As someone who has been trying to understand someone who is so guarded, i will be honest, nakakapagod and minsan mapapaisip ako kung worth it pa ba dahil pakiramdam ko nauubos din ako sa kahihintay. I'm actually glad that i get to read your comment.

Because of the "SADBOI and SADGURL" fad, me as an introvert that has feelings, too, became more anxious to open myself up. Mahirap para sa mga introvert ang makipag-interact sa cancer society.

Mahabang keme: Nag-hallucinate lang ba ako o may nagtatanong ng 'galit ka ba?' sa 2:35? Hahahahaha At sa interval from 3:48 - 4:10, those are good imagery to show kung anong nararamdaman ng nakakaranas ng anxiety or related stuff. Throughout that interval, maririnig niyo 'yung distorted whisper sound at ewan ko para sa perception ko lang, habang tumatagal, lumalakas 'yung whispers. Makikita rin na nagtatakip ng tenga si Unique. Lah lang, to be constantly misunderstood, misjudged, and to be trapped in your own head, is a lonely feeling. Alone and lonely that you could only offer yourself your own warmth. (>shown also in the video, Nikoy giving his self a hug similar to the butterfly hug which is what some people do when they feel lonely, scared and vulnerable.) + the distorted lines and sound effects din pala is a representation ng isang utak na kaunti ang kapayapaan. This is definitely not what a sound mind looks like and Unique is trying to tell that. Or at least, that's what I am getting. Hahaha Ayun, unsolicited observation/opinion ko lang naman. Tayo ay mapalad at may Unique Salonga tayo.~ Miminsan lang bumabagay ang pangalan sa taong kakabitan; Unique he is. Maraming salamat sa iyong musika.

Unique is different, literally and figuratively..his talent is par best on this generation, same feeling when I first heard pare ko, when I was 15, where its challenge for composer to put " mahal" in lyrics in any songs that wouldn't sounds baduy..maybe because I'm a beatles fan and Ely is the closest I ever compared to Lennon. 20 years after I hear this guy,..and my life that once enjoyed listenning to OPM music lives on.
