Nice workmanship and details. However it's a bit complicated for the average woodworker. It's easier just to switch the hose than to make this.

No question about it i have worked in a factory making garden Sofas tables and chairs and i would so mutch like to have your deveice insted of changing all the time so for that it is an easy 10 out of 10 ❤
It would have more interesting if the title of the video explained wtf was being made!
Cool design, but that would cost way more than $10.00 to build.
New title: "Homemade dust extractor" Needs a new cover photo, too.
great planning and execution -- good project if i had the $20,000 worth of equipment

@@tgward313 Sure, he had a drill press add on and a hole saw for the drill. But you can do everything he did with those tools and no need for the shop. Forest for the trees my dude.
Would have been more interested if you'd put dust extraction in the title!!
If it something you're designing and building for yourself , it's a great project . Never mind what the negative types say 👍
Very sleek and effective. I over engineer things for fun and they dont really serve much purpose. Wood is not always cheap, but. Pallets are free all the time if you know the right people. The crafting community seems to be pretty awesome about sharing knowledge and ideas and in some cases materials that dont really serve a purpose and would be burned or thrown away. 10 for craftsmanship and seeing a problem and building a solution. Materials last their life time. Ability and experience last your lifetime. Unless you make a video and share the knowledge. Boom another lifetime
10 out of 10, brilliant design and construction.

I know the feeling...
I rate the idea a 10, and your execution a 10. This is pretty cool!
I’m jealous of those pants and all the cargo that you can carry
5/10. And I hate videos that don't say upfront what the product is.
10, and I agree that doing things yourself not only give you a sense of pride, it also gives you more flexibility to build what you need, that could have been a rotating gate with 4 to 6 inlets
Yes you could buy a readymade version but where’s the fun in that? Great design and if it’s done with recycled materials, you’re doing your part for the planet. 😊
10 un conmutador para aspiración, simplemente genial.
10 out of 10! I really enjoyed this build.
This is a nice project. A few things: 1) Please do an intro and explain what you are going to build. I had to fast forward to even understand what you are making! 2) Please link to a measured drawing so those of us that want to make it, can. Other than that, it is a well-done video. Make those changes and I would subscribe.

You would need to use the exact fittings he's using if you want to go by his measurements but the principle is all one needs to know. Ie.Trace & cut diameters to the size of the fittings you are going to use (allow for grommets or rubber cuffs as he referred to them).
Brilliant work, Vanya! Really well done!!! 😃 Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
espetacular o seu trabalho, parabéns
Wow awesome. I need to build this. After calculating it's costing me $9.99 cents so he is right. 😂
Rube Goldberg would be proud!
I give it a ten out of ten for ingenuity and craftsmanship, but to be honest unless you have unlimited time on your hands, it would make much more sense to just spend $50 and buy one!

Thank you for such a high assessment)
Super cool! You’re very smart!
When using holes saws, try blowing compressed air onto the hole saw itself to prevent the wood from burning. It drills better, faster, saves the hole saw, and your finished product looks better. I like to use a Loc-Line setup so I don’t have to hold it. Hope this helps. Also works great for cutting and routering/machining aluminum and/or other non-ferrous materials Nice job on this by the way.
10 + 10!
Figured it out very early. Quality build but maybe overkill and a little small overall. Enjoyed the good video and quality work rate it 10 out 10 but unlikely to go to the trouble of building as I just swap my vac to whatever major tool I'm using.😮
Muito bom !🇧🇷
Very nice job but you could buy a Y valve for $15 and spend your time making something that maximizes the value of your time.
Hi, great job as usual! I liked your idea of switching the air flap, quickly and simply 👍
Very cool!
$10 if you have about $100 worth of stuff. Still very clever and well done.

At least in Europe it ist impossible to get the material used in this project for 10€.
Really cute toy but you never showed the inside of the vacuum cleaner to see what got by your collector
For those of us who don't need the final product, it would have been friendly to put a description in the title. Or are you after clicks a dwell time?
Where did the $10 come in? With all the "extra" stuff needed, I'm thinking a heck of a lot more without included 5 - 6 hours of time. I simple dust separator would cost $60. Great invention reworked.
Sawdust vacuum, pretty cool. Overhead outfit would cost a bunch. My neighbor spent a bunch to have his saws and vacuum installed for his basement woodshop.
Grazie bella idea do un 10 La replico volentieri
Unique build, but idea is as old as the hills. Centrifugal separators for liquid, dust, ash, and other materials have been used for decades, if not a century. Oil refineries use them to recover catalyst.
Amazing what can be done with just 10 dollars.

There is a parsimony to building something yourself which you can then alter, upgrade or simply repair whenever you desire.
Excellent construction work - I especially liked your little router setup: but not ten bucks, despite what another commenter said, not unless you have most of the pieces already laying around. Pretty complicated for what it does (Are you an engineer?) Anyway, I liked it. #7.
Interesting. Well executed. Having to think about this. Thank you.
I give you a 9/10 at least, just because nobody is perfect.

Excellent❣ Do you recomend Metabo hoover?
How much stays in the barrel and how much goes to the vacuum?
Luvit. Good work!
Had me guessing the entire video, all the way until you brought out the shop-vac. "It well that's an interesting switch mechanism, what's it switching? It can't be fluid with a wooden gate. That pipe is so big, it definitely can't be fluid. Grain maybe? Can't be for HVAC can it? No it's not insulated, the gates are too small, and I can't figure a use for that for air conditioning. A keg now? No no it can't be for alcohol, the gates are too big and there's no way this is food gr-OOOOHHH! THAT'S GORGEOUS!

Top notch job, you could probably source one for a few $s, however nothing beats making your own and using it!! 10/10. Where did you source the rubber grommet's from, a link would be helpful 👏👏

He made a shop vac out of a shop vac.
end grain water fail ... instant with this thing
If you spent 10 bucks on that lot please let me know the store you buy from, i estimated at least 40 to 50 for all the hard wear you have used
Ten dollars my arse. More like $80.00 down under. And how many hours to make it.
For less time, and less money than the parts I could just go by a cyclone separator top and a small drum.
I rate it awesome 😮😊, wonder if it would work for the 735 planer ?
I never understand why you don't put what it is in the title? How do people search for this sort of thing if you've given no clue?
Am I missing something here? it looks like you've made a vacuum cleaner powered by a, er, vacuum cleaner?
Amazing dich😅

For me it's worth an 11 . 😃 By the way, what are the references of the black rubber sealings and the large blue baril?
Oh. Wow… this $10 idea ended costing $1,000 in wasted time!
Really, all that work?
Had to have something to help clean up that mess made building that thing.
That was it?
Just tell in the title and in the beginning what you're making. On two occasions you mysteriously didn't use glue when you had on everything else just like it. Weird. Also, only works for two tools, why bother when it would be so easy to just swap the hose or even buy two cheap shop vacs. If it handled 4 or 6 tools, THAT would be cool. Anyway you don't need an additional collection barrel, the shop vac already has one. Just make a simple manifold from pvc pipe.
God help us.
He’s using $45 worth of hardware not to mention all the parts. Way more expensive. Very clever but not cheap.
