I can't find footage of the Japanese line in P3R but it seems like it's from what he says immediately after summoning Loki: "Justice? Righteous!? Keep that shit to yourselves!" (くだらねッ！　くだらねえなぁッ！　正義だの、仲間だの！) and probably "You're going down... I'll destroy you!" They omitted the line "You and your teammates piss me off" which makes sense but it's kind of funny to imagine Loki saying that to Makoto about S.E.E.S. once he finds out he's part of a team

I love Johanna's line "Be careful not to get flung off" is amazing. Also funny how Atlus either didn't give a single eff about the 3rd awakenings or is still going with the whole "Not spoiling P5R stuff" despite the game being almost 4 years old

I'm grateful for them being careful with spoilers for old games, though. P3R could very well be someone's first entry to the series, since the games aren't strictly connected.

Zorros dialogue made me realize that we never actually hear him speak and now I’m curious to hear the big macho gentlemen with Morganas voice.

All of the Personas share VAs with their respective characters, so Cassandra Lee Morris voicing a big macho gentlemen would be funny to see.

I saw someone on Steam say that the reason there's only 3 P4 personas is because Izanagi, Kaguya, and Magtsu are the only ones that had assets in P5 so it was easy to move them forward. I'd like the others to be brought in eventually since P4 was my first one and I have an attachment to it

It also kinda sucks that you can't combine these DLC Persona with their counterparts to get ones like Raoul, Herewood, William, Diego, etc

It sucks that there are no unique voice lines for these personas like the DLC personas in persona 5.

I bet everyone read those lines with the character's voice

I find Magatsu Izanagi's line interesting. He doesn't say anything about destruction or chaos like he's made out to be, but rather he calls himself the light in the darkness. He even sounds wise

No, he's calling you the light in the darkness, not himself. It's probably a reference to the comb izanagi lights on fire to see izanami in the darkness, so it implies that he wants to protect the one thing that can help him see the truth.

@@lancearnedo7837Ah you’re right, i missed the comma there. Even so, it’s interesting in itself that his line isn’t something along the lines of destroying what Izanagi creates. It’s not even a quote Adachi himself says, so it’s interesting to me that he seems to contradict a bit what we’re told. I don’t think he’s referring to the lights of Izanami, cause he’s not the one that went to retrieve her. Even if I’m wrong, cool persona line

@@eliasgalindo5578 no, iirc in the myth izanagi goes down to the underworld to save izanami but it's pure black, he finds her and she asks him to take her up to the surface but izanagi really wanted to look at her so he took out a comb and lit it on fire so he could see her then it's revealed that izanami is a rotting corpse

@@lancearnedo7837 No, in the game Magatsu Izanagi and Izaagi are two different entities in Persona. Magatsu Izanagi didn't go to retrieve Izanami, that was Izanagi

kinda sucks that we didn't get a whole lot from persona 4. Not even the return of the funny myriad truths...

I still bumped we have all of persona 5 but we only 3 persona for persona 4

Loki knows how to make you cry because Akechi is such a special and sad character. He someone that you cant save from death. Doesnt help Atlus refuse to have him come back in sequels. Tactica DLC doesnt count because it aint Post Persona 5 Royal like how Strikers is.

Honestly sad we not only didn't get the 3rd evos, but the fact that we got Cendrillon/Vanadis from Royal but not Pithos/Pandora, Valjean, or Ernesto from Strikers and Tactica

I had Loki since day 1 bcs I really loved akechi but I had to let him go at some point.... so when I got to refuse him and got his line I almost screamed

I bought most of these dlcs, I only noticed the bios and the blurb before summoning

Interesting that Magatsu-Izanagi is the way he is, I suppose a "do as you will" attitude isn't wrong, just surprising. I expected more of a "sick of the world around you I can help change that" kinda thing

I’m delusional and looking too deeply into it but Robin Hood’s first line had an exclamation point at the end… and I’ve seen people argue that Robin Hood wasn’t “one [persona] for [Akechi’s] lies” while Loki was “one for [Akechi’s] hate” as Futaba surmised, but that he was the persona representative of the childhood dreams of justice that he had, and he just brandished it in Sae’s palace bc it fit his palatable image. So I read “I am Robin Hood!” as if it was coming from a younger part of Akechi 🫠 Confirmation bias? Yes. Am I gonna use this in future arguments anyway? Yeah….

No that honestly makes a lot of sense. Especially from what we know from Akechi's social link (and I'd like to imagine there was some truth in the things that he said when he talked about his childhood). Plus the fact that he litteraly uses a lightsaber and ray gun as a weapon, it would make sense that it's what it would represent. Innocence is a good form of deception after all. Plus the persona is someone accepting their true selves, which means that even if you use it as a facade, it has to represent a part of you that exists, even for wildcards. At least that's how I see it.

This dlc still makes me question the canon P5R dlc makes sense since P3 and P4 already happened, but P3R dlc doesn't because those Persona's users have not awoken to their powers yet

I think that the Personas, despite not being awakened by their party members, still exist in the Sea of Souls, so they can still be summoned even though they have not forged a contract with the party member. For example, in Persona 3, Igor mentions that Orpheus heeded your call, implying that he was in the Sea of Souls beforehand and was not just created. Additionally, it seems Personas can take different forms depending on the summoner, so Personas like Loki, Seiten Taisei, Cerberus, Take-Mikazuchi, and Athena have appeared in Persona games before they were the Persona of a non-wild card party member. Considering that, I don’t think it’s too much of a stretch to say that the P3 protagonist just plucked the P4 and P5 Personas from the Sea of Souls, and once his Personas returned to the Sea to be summoned by the P4 and P5 protagonists, they sort of just sat there until Persona 5, I guess.

@@coolname18 It would also canonically explain why the third tiers aren't available, as they are literally evolved forms of the first tiers as opposed to separate entities like the second tiers.

I like how the first awakening for p5 all have a line from their awakening while their second one has something akin to one of their biggest lines, I don’t really see anything for the p4 ones but that might be me
