He takes everything seriously especially anything he can trademark. Genes narcissism is well known. He tried to sue King Dimond for also using face paint (the designs looked very different) and then later on he tried to trademark the horns evil eye ward used by Ronnie James Dio.

The ULTIMATE part about this Legacy, is he is putting the make up mask he designed himself on his daughter. Who is the daughter of the demon. And she looks a lot like hi too. Same eyes same smile. It's so amazing to see it being transferred to her like this.

Actually, still to this day, KISS still does their own makeup, no staff for that needed. Just to haul their costumes and gear. They have been improving and learning more about how to make the makeup last throughout a concert and improving their makeup designs. Back in the 70s, you'd see their makeup was faded and coming off quick towards the end of a concert due to sweat and other factors. Thanks to learning talcolm powder makes the makeup last and helps blend in their design, the makeup looks cleaner and more professional looking. Its a culmination of their art for using the makeup from 73-82 and 96- today.

Chris Gonzales I imagine this isn’t the first time this has happened to her and she probably enjoys it. Gene has been with his wife (the mother of this child and an older son) for a very long time since 1983 (married in 2011). It doesn’t really fit the narrative or a typical rock and roller (he also abstained from drugs so that helps) but I imagine Gene was able to be a pretty active father in his children’s lives and I’m sure she wanted him to paint her face when she was little. Memories bring comfort :).

It’s rare to see such a strong relationship in “Hollywood”. Gratz Gene.

I have great respect for how Gene and Shannon have raised their children. I also saw when Gene was staying at a hotel which lost his stage costume. He was angry, but he did not yell or act like an entitled asshole. He just told the man responsible that KISS not performing would come down on his head. But he very calmly was doing make-up.

Kind of a sweet moment between a father and daughter.

When I was younger, my mom and I would used to stay up late to watch reality TV shows and one of our favorites was one that followed Gene Simmon's life and his family (had a crush on the daughter and son, didnt realize I was Bi 😭) and it was the most nostalgic feeling. Her and I laying on the couch, the whole living room dark except for the TV, laughing at the shenanigans. Seeing this video brings back the few good memories I had with her when things werent bad. But I wanted to share this with my daughter, who goes all out for dressing up as many Anime Characters. She and I are planning to see one of the final concerts by KISS (their “End of the Road Tour”) in November. I wanted to share this video of face painting tips demonstrated by the Master, himself. She has access to all of the face paints and makeup, which is a far cry from when in my teenage days myself and my neighborhood friends were using Black and White Liquid Kiwi Shoe Polish! 😆 We’re doing the Face Paint for this show! Her first time ever and mine for the last since my early days! Just simply reliving my youth with her! 🤟🏻
