Unimaginable Quality from European Manufacturing.

We take a very up close and detailed look at the @TheTimeSport Alpe D'Huez road bike frame. Their latest model, and some of their finest work.
We talk about the exclusive RTM Resin Transfer Moulding process involved in the construction, but mostly focus of the overall build quality.
In future videos we are going to try and explain why this matter, why it is important to have precise and strong frames that inspire confidence.
Many thanks to TIME for their help in making this video. The video and stills of the factory are provided with free use to us. We have not accepted any payment or free goods. The ADHX mention is on loan, and the ADH frame mentioned has been paid for by us.
The paint work exhibits a glorious luster, the mounting points are clean, accurate and perfect.

Tony Karklins who is now the new CEO of Time who is reviving the brand was actually one of the founders of Allied cycles. They're now building a new factory in South Carolina to bring the resin transfer mold manufacturing process to the USA. The Gravel Ride podcast did an interview with Tony and it is really worth a listen.
I've got an ADHX and the quality is impeccable. Only frame I've had where the instructions explicitly say not to face anything as it's been done at the factory.
Can't imagine how I would feel if I scratched it. So great to see a frame that actually walks the walk and isn't just another exercise in bullshit.

And I've not had any issues with the frame since buying it, so I don't regret going for the f12!
Great video. My first quality bike was a TIME VXRS built around 2005. Have ridden it all over Ireland north and south , France , Italy and Spain including Mallorca. In all that I never saw another similar bike!! It has been beautiful to ride while being fast and very comfortable. I still have it and will never sell. I updated recently with a Pinarello F and thought with the passage of so many years I would be blown away with a great difference in every aspect. In truth I didn’t find that which says a lot for the TIME quality in the first place.

Amazingly so I haven't seen them other than on their website and almost instantly came to the conclusions the mechanic in the video did. Simply a masterpiece above all other banged-up-together frames in some of many Chinese factories where even popular brands have their pieces weaved together and charge us significantly more for a frameset than Time does. In fact Time framesets retail at the price a Pinarello would be only if on a really good sale.

Good to hear you’re in one piece! I’ve just changed to a Mips MTB helmet and looking to change my road helmet in the near future… Something I would say is, before buying, make sure you try for fit - I’ve found that the liner can create a slightly different fit, so a new version, of a helmet you’ve been using, may not be a comfortable fit - if a helmet isn’t comfortable, it increases the chance of taking the risk and riding without!
"It's so tactile, you just kind of want to stroke it and feel it because I have never come across something that's just so nice to have in your hands. It's just, the more you caress it, the more you appreciate something. How these lines curve and just how smooth everything is."

I routed cables though the BB of a ADH21 (same BB area) with 2 BB cups and bearings in place. Without the central tube this is easy to do. If you want to use a sleeve between cups or one piece BB make sure to install a liner so you can swap inner cables easily.

For sure, maybe I will have to turn right and head towards Mt Hood instead of left towards the valleys. Seriously I will wait for your further reviews. I know the Look will probably be great for me, though for my entire life in every facet, skis, cars, golf clubs, running shoes (heck, even regular shoes) bikes, etc I have always chosen a bit above my weight, and I can't think I've ever been disappointed. So we shall see 😎 @@Mapdec

@@Mapdec You can get Time in the UK now. Already been to my local shop. I was considering a ADHX and my local shop could get a frame for me to look at. I decided against the ADHX as all road and gravel option for what I think will be the same reason as Paul will discuss on his up coming ride review.
The ride, it’s about the feel when riding. Very different than a traditional monocoque. Solid, a more grounded, planted feel, the monocoque in comparison feels like I’m riding a plastic hollow tube, quite a bit more skittish on the pavement. I think the best comparison is the Time feels more like a steel bike in the ride quality… My .02 cents
I have a beautiful Time cf stem on my Bianchi Team. Just looking at it and touching it is special. Would love a Time frame someday.....
Thank you for the review. I've been waiting for a replacement to my 10 years old Fluidity for several years now. I hope they won't mess up the geometry and stay true to the old one, with a shorter top tube compared to the competition. I will miss the proprietary head tube system, with its separation of functions. And the integrated seat post. Being able to use standard components is a plus, but I get the feeling they are after cost savings as well. It looks to me that the new ADH is pretty much an ADH21 for ADH01 money.

I had a VXRS worldstar, wish I hadn't sold it. I nicknamed it "More" because it was the only bike I've ridden that became more stable the faster it went. It seemed to align with the planets at about 33k's per hour

I was surprised that Time isn't really more expensive than other premium "ultra-bike" frames while it seems no one else actually matches their quality. I've only seen one "in the flesh" as they're very uncommon in Canada and I was blown away by it. I doubt I'd ever be spending that kind of money on a bike, but if I were, the Time would be the one.

They are made in Slovakia. But yes, they don't have the marketing budget and aren't sponsoring big teams (anymore). They do the boring frame design / building / selling to customers, but at least their design and build is excellent, and while the prices aren't cheap, you get what you pay for, and contrary to e.g. some big name brands, you almost never hear or see about a faulty Time frame.
14:19 cut old cable where the head is, attach new cable to the old one with tape+superglue and leave a seamless transition between them, and simply pull the old cable out while pulling the new one in. Beats taking your cranks out

Beautiful video showcasing the beauty of Time. I am fortunate to own 3 of, what I consider, the greatest carbon frames made: Colnago C50, Look 585 and Time Fluidity. All 3 are built and rideable with Di2. I enjoy all of them, regularly.

@@clawdawg7248 Thank you kindly for the reply. I decided against it because of tire clearance and a gouge on chain stay, (chain drop), but will keep looking, (even eyeing a Wilier Zero6 & Look 785 RS Huez, both rim brake), which I'm fine with for the cost savings, (just tough to find clearance for 28-30mm tires). The Wilier has 28mm tires on Bora Ultra wheels. Cheers
