Why would my scanner stop picking up channels out of the blue never had any issues with it ever nothing coming over my scanner could it be a bad power cord interfering with my channels please help me out thank you wilton ,maine

It's likely the services around your area switched to digital radios and your analog no longer will pick up their frequencies. I don't know where you live or I'd you live near a big city but it's likely you'll have to purchase a digital scanner with trunking capabilities.
