​@@PSM-05 What I found out is that 2001 was the first year for the American market. In Europe it was either 1999 or 2000. What I find possible here, is that it started production in 1999, but wasn't sold officially until 2000, in which case 1999 as the first production year would be correct.

I wish more modern racing games had varied car lists instead of the same set of Supercars all of them have now. I wish to see more cars you’d never expect to see in a racing game such as the fpv F6X a mid 2000s turbo SUV

I find it pretty unique that Alfa Romeo 156 Crosswagon which is an Italian car, only appears in a Japanese racing game (and it's not Gran Turismo)

Asphalt and CSR2 have so many unique cars it's almost scary, I have no how they pull it off.

The 2002 Chevrolet Lingenfelter 427 Corvette and 2003 Chevrolet Guldstrand Corvette have only appeared in the first two Forza Motorsport games, and each time Turn 10 releases a new Forza game, I'm always disappointed that they're never brought back, especially the Lingenfelter.

thank you for this series. it's amazing to me how most of these obscure cars flew over my head while playing some of these games. i love to do research on them too. so many of these were just interesting vehicles i've never heard of. it's also a shame so many never made it into full production.

You should add the Corolla Trueno from Underground 2. I have absolutely no idea why EA decided to add that specific model of the Corolla when everyone was after the one from Initial D. I’m also not too sure, but I think the Peugeot 106 from the Europe version is definitely an odd car for a racing game…

What do you mean EA added the Corolla Trueno "when everyone was after the one from Initial D?" They're both Truenos. Levin is the unpopular one. Also the Peugeot 106 and 206 were very popular platforms in Europe, especially during the sex spec modification days, which UG2 basically is

What’s funny is it wasn’t even a Trueno or an AE86, which in the US was the SR5 Corolla, it’s an AE88 GTS. And yeah the 106 is like peak Euro tuner over there, definitely not an “odd” car.

Great series so far, one car I’d like to see in the series is the 1997 ford falcon EL GT, to my knowledge it only appeared in need for speed iii hot pursuit on only the Australian verison.

Speaking of World Racing 2, I don't think Rinspeed as a whole was ever featured in a videogame again. (And now I have this idea of a racing game where the gimmick is amphibious cars.)

Obviously there's been infinitely more Russian cars in games, but I think in this video series only officially licenced cars are included. That's why the Lada in this video is a unicorn.

Idk if you would like to cover handheld games, but in a GBA game called GT Advance 3 there are two concept cars: the Mazda MX-5 MPS and the Nissan Nails. I don't think they appear in any other racing game

Gran Turismo has so many rare cars you could make a entire playlist with only GT games, Toyota pod, Patent Benz Motorwagen, Nike One 2022, Daihatsu Midget are just some cars that came in my mind still waiting to see a game with a Fiat Uno

It is, however the similarities pretty much end there.

I can't believe that amc had this unique concept car of mid engine lamborghini / ferrari fighter when we know the brand for amx, rebel, javelin muscle cars as well the jeep (long before chrysler bought it in mid 80s to have jeep brand) is a 'what if' idea that unfortunately never got made other than concept car.

Mustang Trans-cammer (GT 5 & 6) Fisker Karma (GT 6) Renault Espace F1 (GT 2) Chrysler Phaeton (GT 2) Nike One (GT 4)

I found about these fictional Subaru concept cars by running into their design patents... Yes they patented cars they modeled for a videogame and everybody forgot about them

you forgot the beck kustoms f132, only appeared in nfs 2015 and payback, the chinese and extreme e cars, which only appeared in fh5, and the peel cars (p50 and trident), which only appeared in fh4 and 5

Blastolene Special aka Jay Leno tank car, as wikipedia said, it was added to GT4 roster by "by accident"

Total Immersion Racing has a few unique cars. For example Panoz LMP 1 or Dome LMP 1.

Suggestion to add: The Shelby Durango (Featured in Test Drive Off-Road 3 & Wide Open)

I know in episode 2 you feactured the Italdesign/BMW Nazca, nowever in the PC version of NFS III theres the Alfa Romeo/Italdesign Schigera which could be a good mention

@@ThaDutchDK1989 When i write Ascari KZ1-R its a race version, doesn't are about a damn illegal road car, i mean the R version its a race variant the default KZ1. Exist the KZ1 and the KZ1-R, those two are separated variants just like the Skyline GT and the Skyline GT-R, not the same version.

The Isuzu Vehicross exclusively appeared in Tokyo Xtreme Race 3/Shutokou Battle 01 to my knowledge.

Toyota AE86 2-door pretty rare to seen, and only available in TXRD2 and Initial D games

I don't know for sure, but I've only seen the 8th generation Ford Fiesta ST in the Grand Tour tie-in game

Apparently the Porsche 917 Living Legend is only exclusive to Gran Turismo and will likely not end up in other games.

You might wanna check other one make racing games, like Mercedes Benz World Racing or Squadra Corse Alfa Romeo. They often feature cars that werent seen in any other games, like the Alfasud in the Alfa Romeo game i mentioned.

A suggestion i have would be the ford interceptoor cocept in nfs hot pursuit Now i know that the normal version(taurus i think) is present in many games but it isnt a concept car and it isnt a police one

Please show the cars in the selection menu so we can see the body better and stats. I hope to see the Tommy Kaira ZZ-III in a future episode. It’s only found in Gran Turismo 2. The ZZ-II and ZZ-S are in several GT games, but the ZZ-III is only in GT2 afaik.

Tried to experiment with the inclusion of the car selection screen or garage view, but I couldn't figure out a way in which it didn't break the flow of the video. I scrapped this idea for now, although what I could do in future episodes, is to include a screenshot of the car's front, like with the Subaru B11S, if it's not possible to show in-game.

The 9th Generation Honda Civic Si Coupe has only been in Forza Horizon 1 (as DLC) and Forza Motorsport 7

Alfa Romeo Brera appears more than 3 games, so possibly doesn't coun't for that list.

If you were in the US version of auto modelista, you got the substandard version. Turning slows you down a lot more than the original japanese release, and drifting doesn't really exist

​@@ThaDutchDK1989 No, Mythos doesn't appear in PGR3. And i said Porsche 356A Carrera Speedster SHOULDN'T be confused with the normal naturally aspirated 356A Speedster; Carrera Speedster is supercharged, and as far as i know, it appears only in PGR2 as a part of the Paris Booster Pack DLC.

You can argue the same for a lot of the games shown, not just anything on mobile. Physics engines differ and therefore so do a lot of variables in cars performance.
