I feel bad for Jiwon because I know she has outstanding vocals, but having vocal nodules restricts her from having the lines to show it. hopefully the next song they release as UNI.T she’s better and gets more lines!!

I have the impression that the show is the reason she’s in this condition. Like, she must have trained hard and nonstop before she even got to the audition, and as she was accepted in the show in such an exciting way and everybody had high expectations about her, she HAD to showcase her full potential to fill this expectations or she wouldn’t make it to the winner group, so she couldn’t really turn down lines and opportunities and from what I know vocal nodules is a condition that comes as you force your vocal cords too much and goes as you give it proper rest and care... Hopefully, having minimal and easy lines now will allow her to heal so when they come back she’ll be able to have the lines her potential deserves.

Guys, before you come here commenting "OMG WHY DOES JIWON HAVE LIKE NO LINES WTF????!!!" , you have to know that Jiwon has vocal nodules, which existed right before Spica disbanded and recently gotten worse, which is why she doesn't get that many lines in this song, considering they have to promote it a lot more. She gets more lines in their b-sides tho so check that out.

To give a summary, they basically are like growths at the vocal chords that appear through a variety of reasons, though in this case, it most likely the excessive or misuse of the voice. Usually, this is evident in females rather than males, which is why many female idols tend to get this condition. A very prominent example is Wendy from Red Velvet, though her condition has healed a lot. This is why many people emphasize the need for strong technique besides vocal tone/color. Because if you keep straining your voice and not following proper steps to maintain it, it will promote the growth of these nodules that will severely limit your potential in singing as it might cause you to be more hoarse, more breathy and creaky with your note. In worse cases, they even cause you to lose your voice in a whole. It's why it's so important for Jiwon now to go through therapy to slowly cure this condition.

I don't really follow UNI.T as much as UNB but jesus Yoonjo is stunning in this mv

How if jiwon exchange with euna kim(KHAN member now). The result will come out more bombastic and more people will attract by it although now also is still gud.Jiwon get super less line and during the live broadcadt she also can't stand out that much. Pity for her.

The vocal nodule should not hinder her from getting more parts, as she could sing parts that do not cause strain. Not to mention her center parts were almost invisible. On the other hand, nc. a got more than double time than other members, quite a bum as others can also sing and dance.

I agree. The only parts that were vocally challenging are the hook and bridge. There are a lot of parts that could e given to her. Suji's parts are easier than the parts given to her. I wonder what really happened during the line distribution. :/

Chelsea Marie if her condition is really bad right now, what I believe it is considering how much training and effort she had to put to survive in the show, having a lot of lines and having to sing it live several times could make it worse... Taking risks about such and important thing as a singer’s voice is not a smart decision, it’s gambling with her future! So giving her some time to heal after all the damage she must have put herself trough in the show is not wrong at all... Let’s just expect that she’ll be better when they come back, so she can have the lines she deserves.

I said five years ago Jiwon was wasting her time in this group. She should be out on her own doing her own shows. She must be in her mid 30s by now and her youthful voice is now that of a sexy older woman. Does she not have connections to writers and producers willing to help her? Time is running out.

I like how everybody is suddenly saying she has the best vocals in the group???? She doesn't??? Lmao NC.A has a much wider supported range, although she is a bit chesty. Jiwon has quite shallow support.

Jstarfully "one of"....I didn't say she was outright the best. NC.A definitely has the fullest sound and is very talented but Jiwon for sure is just as good as Yebin, Woohee, Euijin etc. this group is pretty solid vocally except for Hyunjin

They're not really though. Like the only person with solid support is NC.A, nobody else supports consistently. They are more vocally able than UNB but that doesn't say much since they're full of dancers - except Chan. Jun is okay. Anyway that was OT; point is, Yebin, Woohee and Euijin are really only okay vocals in this group, if they had been put in a group with actually good vocals they wouldn't be that great. Like Jiwon, who was only a sub-vocal in Spica.

신민재 앤씨아는 메보인데요?;메보 파트 많은건 당연하죠 거기다 다른 멤버들이 부르기 힘든 제일 어려운 부분 부르는데ㅠㅠㅠ안그래도 앤씨아가 노래 부르는 부분에 키크고 눈에 띄는 멤버들이 앞에서 춤춰서 잘 보이지도 않는데 너무 하시네요ㅠㅠ
