The current meter isn’t automatic, it’s actually a meter that tells you the current being used. the devices electrical construction will order the amount of current used. It’s basically a current limiter not a current changer and can’t change it like the voltage can.

it does not sense what the device needs. The power is limited by the constant voltage mode and so the constant current does not kick in .

Is the on/off switch in the front to switch off the output to what ever you have connected?

The current depends on the device resistance ! Ohm law !

Correct. Even a AA battery "senses" the current demand. We all had to start someplace Slightly more advanced supplies have CV, CC, and max voltage and current limiting, and the ability to set the parameters with the supply hooked up and then hit a button to connect to the load.

@@jeffreydeutsch7336 this one has constant current mode of course, you can even see he LED of 'cc' on the front panel. short the leads and use the knobs for current.

dude you have no idea what you are talking about, maybe learn some electronics basics like, I don't know, ohm law for example and after that start making youtube reviews of electronic equipment, not the other way around.
