There are very few videos on KZread about ANU and it's accomodation, especially those made by a student, so I found your video really helpful when trying to visualize where I'd be choosing to study. Keep making content, and maybe we'll run into each other at ANU once travel restrictions ease up 😊

Hi! I’ve been trying to decide between ANU and UBC (Vancouver). This is the first video I found by a student at ANU, and it was really helpful in giving the university a face (beyond the website lol)! Thanks for doing these. I would love to hear more about your first-year experience. I’d be starting remotely in July, so any input you have on both online and in-person classes at ANU would be super helpful.

Hey ! im so glad my video could help you! honestly im loving it at Anu, both online and in person has been really great. I know from talking to friends, Anu has definitely handled going online a lot better than other universities in Australia. The campus is really nice and new and the staff and super supportive and helpful. I know for me im accidentally missed a couple deadlines or couldn't finish assignments in time (with reason) and they were more than happy to assist. I also find that with all of my classes in workshops we have phd students who run the workshops and this is really good! they are always super appropriate and are happy to respond to your 50 thousands emails the night of an assignment being due hahaha. Overall, Anu is a great university but it is up to you overall for what you want in a university. Like I can talk and talk about how great Anu is but Im not sure how it compares to UBC, sorry! hopefully this info helps your decision! and if you have any more questions just message me, im happy to help :)

@@MadyHall Hi! I never got a notification about your reply. I would have responded sooner! I have decided to accept my offer, and will be starting remotely in July. It's great to know that you have so many good things to say about ANU :) I'm guessing that it'll be hard to get to know people while studying my first semester remotely. I've joined the New@ANU facebook group, but I'd love to know if there are any other FB groups/WhatsApp chats?

@@nayantararanganatha6083 That's awesome ! honestly it will be hard but you will meet people in your tutorial and workshops (depending on what classes you take). pretty much everything will be remote so dont worry because everyone will be in the same boat :) normally people post in the new@ANU Facebook group saying doesn't anyone want to make a group chat for this class or say people doing law or science and if there is one that already existed people will link it for you in the comments. hope that helps !!

Mady Hall Oh, epic. I need to set that up. When should I begin setting that up, do you think, considering I hope to begin uni start of next year? Also, if you don’t mind me asking. What was your ATAR? Was it difficult to get into ANU? You see, I’ve been planning to go to ANU since the start of this year and my last year’s results were not exactly all that impressive so I didn’t apply for early entry with my Year 11 results. Which I regret so much. Anyway, my girlfriend got in with her results and now I’m crossing my fingers I do as well. I actually turned up the gas this year and I’m averaging B+a and As, and my estimated ATAR is 90 on the dot. Despite the Bachelor of Arts only needing an 80, do you think anything like a 90 will get me in, or is it all down to luck with who they accept? I’m just super anxious I won’t get in, and I’ll miss a chance for accomodations as well since Victoria students get their ATARs and offers after NSW. Thanks!

I hope to make more videos at uni but I'm not sure if I'll be going back for next semester or continuing to study removing because of the large cost of staying on campus.
