THIS. Absolutely this. And it really allows the grief of the story to shine through, giving it a bittersweet lullaby feeling, almost like a sweet voice serenading the death of your love while you danced along a cloud of ignorance and naivety. Overall a beautiful version of the song that I personally prefer over the original.

I have never even heard the original so when I listened to this for the first time, I had absolutely no idea what Shayne and Ali were saying. Until later, I found the original a week after Shayne released this version. Even if I heard the original before, I still don’t understand Japanese but Japanese and Chinese are my complete favorite languages I want to learn someday.
