How awesome is it that the great Bob Uecker is still announcing ball games at the age of 90. What a legend.

Not sure if anyone commented but the worker statue is in memory of the 3 workers who perished in the Big Blue collapse in 1999.

The 3 workers died while building the stadium. The crane big blue collapsed and they didn’t make it out. My dads name is on the wall outside for all the workers who helped build it. Thanks for the great vlog.

3 is the "hull" (not actually the hull but the island) number of the lha amphibious assault ship uss bellaue wood that my dad served on until we moved back from Japan to the states. It's now an artificial reef off the coast of San Diego California after being used for target practice in the sinkex program. I've been on the ship as a kid when my dad served on it. When we moved back we moved to Escondido California because that's where my dad was now at the time stationed and worked for the comnavsurfpac in Coronado California and then we moved back here and then he became the top navy recruiter in the state of Indiana until he retired 20 years of service.

I was so happy that you entered at the clocktower! I was honored to scan your ticket and direct you to the Uecker statue. Great meeting you. Come back to the clocktower entrance anytime. I loved your excitement and enthusiasm on the tour. Didnt realize the access on the tours here were so rare. Next time check out the Selig Experience. A kind of Disney-esque short movie and walkthrough exhibit I think you'd enjoy, including a life-size hologram of Bud Selig. I would've recommended it last night but it was closed. -Kristina

That is awesome to be able to get an up close and personal tour of the stadium! I remember watching Bob Uker on Mr. Belvedere as well as him being a baseball announcer. Thanks for sharing the experience!

So happy you were able to see our beautiful stadium, one of the friendliest, cleanest cities and on occasion some crumby weather but the amount of sweat you will donate a year in Mke will be way less than FL, just saying. "hint" Super happy you enjoyed the tour, gotta love Uecker, he's a staple here in Mke. I remember going to the old stadium, good memories. Sausage races, kind of funny how popular that has become, what a goofy city we live in. Glad Bernie didn't get to go down his slide, glad the Rays won it while you were in town. @@timmeier8035 I am a Pirates fan doing the same thing. I've been to twelve so far. Just got back from San Fran and Oakland. I can honestly say that I've only seen them win two games on the road. They stink, but I still love my Buccos.

My old stomping grounds. Love Miller Stadium. Used to be able to sit in Bernie’s Terrace for $7 on a weekday.

I’m a Brewers fan & love the stadium tour. It’s such a cool experience to be able to get on the field. Also on non game days, you do get to go in the visitors clubhouse & dugout.

In late 70s, a group of us would go to Brewer games at old County Stadium in the bleachers - for $3. We often got the "cheap seats" fans fired up and doing cheers, wave, etc). One beer almost cost more than our tickets. Games were fast, with many starting pitchers going the full nine. Great baseball memories brought back by ATW!

Great stadium. I’m a cubs fan, but always loved this park (especially being able to tailgate) The stadium was supposed to open in 2000, but there was a crane accident and 3 people died. That was the statue you saw at the beginning.

Go Brewers Go! My home team. Went to many games in old County Stadium from 1973 and up. Saw Hank Aaron several times in the years when he finished his career with the Brewers.

My opinion on the diet, is cutting out sugar and sodas is a big one and it is noticeable in your weight loss. DUDE!! That was so cool to get on the playing field!! One time I got on the field at Jordan Hare stadium before Auburn’s A-Day game and met some players and was just like 😮😮😮😮 so I get your excitement. It’s hard to describe other than WOW! Man did you have a great seat! I always like to sit behind first base when I grew up watching my home team the Birmingham Barons who are the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. I used to intern for a local sports radio station in Milwaukee, so I got to sit in that press box many times. It was always the best. Once, walked past Uecker, said hello, and he replied, "Hey, how's it going?" and gave me a backhanded pat on my hip. The man didn't know me from Adam, and he did that.

I love Miller Park (it will always be Miller Park for me) and so glad you got a chance to experience it. I live 45 minutes away and love the fact I can get there usually with no traffic and lots of parking. Next time you come back you have to experience tailgating after all, Milwaukee is where tailgating began.

Love your channel! I cannot believe I never noticed the M and the B in the Brewers logo lol. I always just thought it was a glove only.

My wish is to run the bases...I'm 60 yrs old, I love baseball even though I don't have a favorite team, I think in all teams there are good players...I am originally from California, I watch the games from Angel; Dodgers and Padres...But like I said I watch any game . I live here in Florida too. I've only been to the Angels stadium once in 2017 ... but if I could , I would love to live near a stadium where I can go and watch in person! Thanks for always sharing your experiences with the stadiums you have gone to! Awesome!

That's a great stadium tour! You and I talked on the monorail last year about you not getting to Toronto until this year. I think it worked out well because their stadium renovation is now completely finished.

Lifelong Brewers fan but haven't done the stadium tour. I think your vlog convinced me to make it a priority.

First time I went to Miller park (first year it was open, but not opening day) I sat just behind the visitors dugout, right where you were aiming your camera. One of the players (think it may have been the Astros, I don't 100% remember), rolled a foul ball across the top of the dug out to my niece who was only about 3 or 4. She went to throw it back before her dad (my brother) reached over the top of her and grabbed the ball, lol. Was caught on TV and we made Sportscenter, with the guy (might have been Chris Berman, sadly I forget) saying "No little girl!" and then "Good job Dad" when my brother stopped her. Somehow I even had that on video tape at some point, but just can't seem to find it. What a bummer. Oh and one more thing, I just have to say how glad I was when the Brewers went back to that awesome logo after a while with that cursive M for too long a while.

Back in the 80's i was able to go on the field and get my picture taken with the entire Brewers team and coaches. Paul Molitor, Robin Yount, Rollie Fingers just to name a few. I also loved it when the Packers would play 2 games every year at county stadium. Such great memories!

I am so sad I missed you last night. I work at Am Fam but in the service level. If I had come to work earlier I was going to look for you! Would have loved a pic. Sundays are "Family days", after Sunday games all kids are able to run the bases on the field. They enter the field by first base, round all, end at home plate and exit into the stands.

Hey, Adam. Just a note about the statue with the three construction workers. It wasn't a tribute to the people that built the stadium so much as it is more of a memorial to the three workers that lost their lives building the stadium. There was a crane collapse when they were putting up the roof sections on the park and three workers were killed in that accident. Great video, and glad you enjoyed American Family Field!

Hey Adam, the statue of the three construction workers outside the park that you briefly mentioned was a memorial... Those three construction workers were killed during a crane collapse during construction of the park. From Wikipedia: On July 14, 1999, at approximately 5:12 pm, the Big Blue collapsed during the construction of the Miller Park (now American Family Field) baseball stadium in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with a load of over 450 tonnes (440 long tons; 500 short tons) on the hook.[2][3] Three Iron Workers Local 8 members, Jeffrey Wischer, William DeGrave, and Jerome Starr, were killed when the suspended personnel platform in which they were observing the lift was hit by the falling crane.[3][4] A safety inspector was filming construction of the stadium on that day and captured the collapse on video as it occurred.
