I think it SEVERELY matters on your relationship. I'm a woman and with both my family and friends we never have cared and we call all eachother "bitch" many times lol. It also matters on HOW you say it. I try and ensure it sounds goofy, strike a goofy pose or say it non chalantly, like it's as boring as the word "rock". This guy saw a tik tok trend and sounds like he PRETENDED to say it LEGITIMATELY. This is why it's highly important to make things clear and not make jokes or light out of such words. Not to mention everyone has different points of views on the world, some people cannot understand things like sarcasm or pick up on all jokes. This guy got mad at her for him pretending to say the B word seriously. She's completely in the right. Don't say hurtful things in seriousness nor pretend to do so without proper obvious social cues. True joking is obvious and everyone should very easily be in on the joke, even subtle jokes are open enough to elicit everyone to find it funny.

I eat meat. I'm not huge about it but for health reasons. I love vegan food! I think vegans have gotten so creative with flavors. Plus vegetarian dishes just taste so good to me. I prefer veggie lasagna. I love roasted veggies. I love veggies and fruit raw too but my tummy doesn't take that The no alcohol rule would just have me drinking beforehand. I'm literally self medicating for anxiety and groups of humans are too much. Do I either come drunk (which to others is still normal in appearance because moderately drunk me is more normal than sober me and very drunk me is very social but still friendly) or I could come sober, a trembling jumpy mess likely to scream. I'm happy to stay home! But if it was OK to come in drunk but respectful I'd do that over attending the competition because its about the couple.

At my wedding, we didn’t serve alcohol out of respect for my husbands side. MY side quite likes a drink, especially my moms family. So my mom threw an AFTER-after party for her family that DID have alcohol. It’s not that hard to accommodate both, the mother of the bride is being RIDICULOUS.

While I agree completely, I think something should be said about providing a vegan/non-vegan option as appropriate at weddings, just because you don't eat meat or just because you do eat meat doesn't mean everyone should do the same just because you want them to. But it's wrong to expect alcohol at all events for sure. That's just alcoholism lmao

The lack of alcohol definitely could be a cultural or religious thing. Especially Sikh people are often vegetarians and alcohol abstainers. They are both popular diets in other Eastern faiths too, Buddhism, Hindu, Islam, Taoist, Jain, etc. I'm fine without having alcohol, but I did used to worry about vegan food having too many nuts or coconuts in them (not allergic I just detest them). But I think vegan menus have definitely expanded and there certainly could be more options for me or folks similar to me nowadays. Just come to the reception with an open-mind, and maybe bring some dairy, meat, or alcohol with you just in case.

All in all, to me, if the only problem is that somebody personally (even if it’s a large amount of ppl) doesn’t like what’s being served, but could easily still eat it, then there shouldn’t be such an uproar. It’s a day where you don’t have food that you may particularly like. Everyone’s had a day like that and it’s not like you can’t get anything afterwards if you’re still hungry.

@@fatimazafar8907 I think it's less about "not getting meat" for an evening, and more about consideration of the people you're inviting. It might be "your" day, but those are people too. If I knew I would have vegan/vegetarian guests at my wedding, I would splurge the extra effort to have meal options for them. Same if I was vegan, I would make sure there were non-vegan options so everyone could feel included. I just think it's mildly rude to expect every guest to acclimate to your personal tastes or opinions, regardless of reasoning. People are different and have different tastes, and in 2023 it truly isn't difficult to just have accessible options for everyone.

As someone who’s considering a dry wedding, I cannot believe how much resistance there is. Everyone I’ve told so far, especially of generation X, has taken it as a personal offence. The fact that I’m choosing this because of the difficult relationship that my family has with alcohol, seems to be an even bigger problem. Anyway, I’m not paying for an open bar so I can get verbally abused again.

I totally agree with the dry wedding. I don’t drink because I don’t like it and all sides of my family have problems with alcohol. Some of my family members get so drunk, they completely ruin events. And if it makes those people not come, good, honestly. I don’t want them there, but ultimately will invite them out of obligation (if I do have more than an intimate wedding)

Last story about the camera in the woman's office has an UPDATE: "There's no HR but the camera was removed thanks to IT. So, as previously stated I still never said anything about the camera. I wasn't really comfortable with it, but I got used to being conscious of my actions so they weren't seeing anything I didn't want them to. There also isn't some sort of HR to talk to about this or anything like that. But our IT guy came in, and he asked my boss about it. I wasn't in the room, so I didn't hear entire conversation, but the first thing I heard was my boss saying that the camera was there before my office ever was. Something about using it to see the front door originally, I guess. That was a weird excuse to me, though, because I've been there for atleast two months at this point and there's no way they could've "accidentally" watched me as much as it felt like they had been. Hearing the conversation out loud also confirmed beyond a shadow of a doubt that it was a camera, and that I wasn't paranoid. The IT guy must've felt some type of way about it, because I didn't hear what HE said but I heard my boss say something about "well, it's not like I was just watching her in her office" in sorta a quieter, sheepishly defensive way. Nobody said anything to me while they were removing it (they took it from his side, not mine) but they instead put it where it would be facing the front door. This happened just over a week ago. I haven't posted an update until now because I was waiting to see if the camera would be put back. I really wanted to see if they were gonna put it back a few days after I.T. left, because THAT would've been wild. But it's been over a week now, the camera is still away from me. It'll take some time before I stop feeling like I'm being watched all the time, though. I'm really curious what the guy said to my boss, whether he said something about it not being allowed or if he called it flat out creepy haha. But I'm glad he did say something, as it got resolved without me ever having to say anything. I'd like to think he low-key had my back. I've still just been acting as if I've never known and haven't said anything about it, and work carries on. Also, it's so wild that this story got put in a Smosh video, holy shit. I heard the news back to back, first the "hey Smosh just bought their channel back" at the same time as "hey your post is in a new Smosh video". I made this post mostly to vent, because I couldn't tell if I had the right to feel so weird about this situation because everyone in my personal circle says it isn't that weird, so it's so nice that so many strangers are validating how I feel. To hear people talk about my experience on a public platform was a little surreal, I won't lie. This got so much more traction than I was ever expecting, but It makes me feel better, so thank you. Genuinely. My experience feels validated and it feels heard, and I feel better because of it. I'm still going to stay at this job, because I still like everyone here and I enjoy my field, but now I'll be doing it under a little less surveillance, lol. If the camera comes back, I'll let you know."

But I been watching their Try not To Laughs recently, and I think the guys are pretty funny with that and are really good people. Now with Anthony back in, I look at the evolution of everything and just think that this content is even more special in a sense because of the fact that these guys have done so much in their tenure (All the members respectively), seeing how everyone grew in their time there. It's just really cool and makes me appreciate Smosh more and more everyday.

As an alcoholic I support u guys. It's the couple's day. If u can't be sober or stealth so no one notices, don't be there. And ask beforehand. Like I can be stealth sober. I get buzzed but it helps me regulate my emotions and sensory overload. I'm autistic. I need that or Valium. I need something to get through the crowd. But if I can't have that I won't be there. I would ask the couple before if I was OK to show up buzzed. When I'm buzzed I just get emotional and chatty, friendly. Sober I'm jumpy and scared, unsocial. It's the their decision if I show up but I'm not going sober. And I'm fine being not invited.

@gale4811 because I got into a disagreement with my father and grandmother, who I ended up banning from my wedding because they were trying to take it over without contributing monetarily (real zillas) and I had warned them to stop and they didn't. They were very aggressive about it to the point that they made me cry. They then went and told the rest of the family lies about the situation, saying I was the person being the aggressor, demanding a ton of money from them (my whole wedding was less than 9 grand because I was able to make a lot of stuff myself, including my wedding dress), so they all decided to say that they were going to come and then they didn't. In fact, my mom called one of my aunts because I was in the bridal suite crying for an hour during the reception and asked why nobody showed up. My aunt just yelled incoherently and everybody else in my father's side were posting pics of the stuff they were doing besides coming, making their captions very obvious jabs at me and how they didn't go to the wedding (stuff like "I'm so happy I didn't have anything IMPORTANT to go to today" etc). So I blocked every single one of them and still have not spoken to any of them to this day.

My father in law did bring beers and pass them out to a couple people that stayed to clean up, which pissed me off, but I just let it slide at that point. I’m also vegetarian and we had all of our food vegetarian bc we weren’t about to pay for food at our own wedding that I couldn’t even enjoy. Regarding the second story. I can see there being a multitude of reasons they don't want alcohol at their wedding. I know for me personally I won't have alcohol at my future wedding because both my parents were alcoholics and I had a bad experience with my dad because of it.

I feel so happy for Ian. I always loved him in other Smosh videos, but it's nice to see him being part of a pair again, instead of being singled out as the boss. Most of the characters they play have a counterpart (Noah and Keith, Shayne and Damian, Courtney and Olivia), so it's kind of heartwarming to see Ian get his counterpart back.

That’s an awful lot of info you seem to have retained about something you “barely remember”

Shayne and the rest of this crew are so important to this channel, and I hope they know how appreciated they are by all of us fans! I gotta say, when Ian was left alone when Anthony left. He was not as happy and Defy controlled directing and had him in the side. He didn't feel like he was having fun and was just there because he wanted to still keep channel alive since it was his baby. Shayne, Damien, and Courtney carried smosh as main cast for channel and new smosh fans. As well the other side cast like Noah, Keith, and Olivia. When Defy left Ian literally paid cast to still film some episodes till smosh got bought by Mythical. I havn't watch a lot of smosh only once in a while since Anthony left. Now both owning show and Ian with Anthony just feels right. They are so fun and are happy together. Ian being so open and just smiling and joking around with Anthony made him bloom out and happy. Its so great both being together and having fun. I'm excited to see new sketches and even more with smosh family now has experience for a few years and get to work with main director/writers.

These guys talking through these was actually super enlightening. Especially as someone on the spectrum who has trouble identifying social stuff. The b*tch story especially at first glance I kinda focused on the chilli like “Aw man you got that on the floor, the slur was not okay but you did kinda ruin his rug” then I realized, “oh wait anger typically is caused by trouble over time rather than one intense moment, there are probably wider problems in their relationship and she needs to leave him”
