I did Amsoil on my ‘19 Scatpack. I don’t go to the track and only leisure daily the thing. I’m pleased. It’s kinda a gimmick to say you have to right at 6k again to each their own i could totally understand doing changes at 3k even every 1000 miles if track used

Someone probably done the damage with a jack.....you MUST be careful where you place the jack and jack stands...see ZL1 Addons for must have jack pads....also last time i took off srt filter the rubber ring stayed attached.....also be careful when torquing the drain plug....almost over torqued mine....it was marked from factory but I went beyond mark....thanks for the vid!

Good video! Sorry about the damage. I too bought my 2016 Hellcat used with 1059 miles on it. In matter of fact, it looks almost identical to yours except mine is a manual transmission. I did my own personal inspection on it as well as the Hellcat/Viper mechanic at my local Dodge dealership in West Palm Beach. The mechanic was so cool and former racer, but spent almost 1 hour talking to me and inspected everything he could on it for me. He ended up spending about 3-4 hours on it and I did have him change the oil out also. Everything checked out good, but on yours, mostly cosmetic damage out of sight and rest of the car looks great and should not affect your ride quality or performance.

Btw, my first Hellcat was a 2015 bought used (and overpriced at 69k), back during the "Crazy for Cocoa Puffs" price gouging times. To make matters worse, it was a stick car. Anyway, I saw it, did the paperwork & had it delivered. So you're not alone. Can't blame you for not going over everything, cause I'd have been so excited, I'd have done the same.🤔

Ugh! 😟 Sorry to see that stuff on bottom. 😐 I totally get how you feel. It is an expensive car and special, if for no other reason than "it's yours & you worked to get it". I'm Sooo careful when changing wheels, etc. Making sure I'm on the correct lift points and a cushioned jack pad. The rear not so bad. Has them big rubber bump stop things. Makes it easier & no brainier.🤔 However, your car is fine. But I "get it". Try not to worry.😉

+Zander13 Automotive ya Mon. And try not to go over 2500 miles on OCIs. Conditions are always considered optimal. Meaning you start your car and drive 5000 miles at 75 miles per hour then turn your car off... Obviously this is nowhere near what happens in reality. But I'm just a scientist what do I know.

Here's a little low-tech tip for gauging the cleanliness of your engine oil as a function of the mileage and how to use that as an indicator as to when to change it. Every thousand miles, after a fresh oil change, drop one drop of your oil while it's at operating temperature onto a sheet of paper towel. Label the drop with the mileage and keep the towel in your garage for use at every thousand mile mark. For the first few thousand miles you won't see much of a change in the color of the oil, but at some point at around 5,000 miles you'll see it start to darken significantly. This is the point where I like to change the oil.

This is great and all on a normal car but these cars run on full synthetic so even if you run it for a 1000 miles it gets dark within this parameter. Also these cars are meant to be changed every 3k not 5k even though it says 5k on the bottle and it is a full synthetic. These cars put off a lot of heat and are typically driven hard, a daily, or both. Depends were you live and the time of year as well like I live in Fl and I have to change mine every 3k otherwise it’s straight black. Another thing to think about here when waiting 5 k for an oil change in a hellcat is the fact it pumps pcv oil vapors into your supercharger now I don’t know about you but I’ve looked inside and it ain’t pretty in there if you wait vs doing it when it’s fairly clean at least this way nasty black gunk does accumulate on the rotor pack and intake robbing power. Just some knowledge I’ve picked up over the years of owning this platform. Also pcv valves go bad easy in these and many will tell you it blows both ways and it does but what they don’t tell you is it is reduced flow one way. Catch can designs end up breaking pcv seals from hose failure from heat over time causing a vacuum leak as the flow becomes insufficient. All for the sake of emissions.

So from my understanding in the 15 and 16 hellcats take 7.5 quarts of oil not 6 or 6.5 the reason behind this is the oil filter holds oil and so does the oil cooler so when draining these 3 points and you only put 6.5 it will show full on the dip stick this is why it’s smart to put 7 and get a new dip stick like dodge did in the 17 and up hellcats. Nothing else was changed in the newer ones as far as oil goes pans and everything are the same. So another words checking your oil after 6.5 is pointless as it will always say full so it’s not accurate and nor can you check precisely without the new stick but the car does need to see all 7.5 quarts for the best performance so it might be something to look into.

Zander13 Automotive for sure brotha. Also I live in San Diego and the manager in the service dept told me to have all my work done there and documented and since it's a specialty car, handmade, and built to last, if anything happens to it i.e out of tolerance blower, oil cooler breaking etc.. that he would have it taken care of and told me not to worry about the 60k warranty. HC 6.4L only holds 6 & a half qts of oil? That's it 🤔 wow!! The 18 mustang GT being 5.0 L holds 10 qts of oil. EVEN MY 16 mustang GT holds 8 qts of oil. Also my 2nd car 18 camaro SS holds 10 qts. Does not seem like a lot of oil capacity for such a big engine 🤔 Hell even the dealerships sometimes have no clue on how to properly lift and change your oil. And they are trained technicians.
