Love Micky Harford, a genuine, tough as teak, down to earth, working class Sunderland lad that made good of himself & is still respected & liked enormously up & down the country.. Top class bloke & Top class podcast..👏🏻🧐👍🏻
Mick Harford, the man , the legend. Privileged to have watched you in your prime at the Mighty Hatters !

What was your second favourite game he played?
what an absolute legend. Worked with Mick at Luton. Great man.
Crying😅 about the Ian rush joke at the end🤣🤣🤣nearly crashed my truck 😂
I met mick once about 10 years ago at Colchester the old layer Rd, a mate who played for Coventry who were playing Colchester that night got us tickets and in the players lounge after the game ,my son was with me who was around 12 at the time stood looking at mick with his mouth open as he looked enormous with his black ankle length over coat and Russian hat , he was there watching players . Had a nice chat and he was amazing with my son ,he told my lad a story about persevering if he wanted to be a player . Great interview one of the better guests .
Worshipped Mick in his Lincoln days. It was obvious he was going to the very top and he did. Great player, great man and a great interview!
Wishing Mick a full recovery 🙏🏽
An absolute legend and such a lovely lad. I was chatting with Mick last Saturday at the Sunderland v Luton game.
Big Mick wot a legend of a man...👍🏻👊🏻😍 Absolutely superb end with the slang 😂😂😂
You don't get a face like this playing one twos outside your own penalty area. Brilliant!

Mick was a very talented player and not just a hard man.
The ending Is one of the funniest moments of the podcast for me and it's not even a story. Had me rewatching it multiple times. Keep up the good work lads
The intros are what makes this podcast special. You get a good feel for their humour . Keep up the good work. I have enjoyed them all.
Another excellent show , big Mick , such a shame he didn’t play for Sunderland in his prime - he was a fantastic player . Hope he recovers well
The earliest I remember MH playing was for Luton in the 90s season. What a legend.
Just before my era but great to listen to because he's referenced so much on this pod. Great episode and get well soon Mick
Big love to you Mick, qualify bloke, he use to terrorise defenders, I remember him starting out at Birmingham, hit the big time with Luton...always seemed really humble and grounded, great stories that I could listen to all day, Real throwback striker that was superb 👍👍.
One of the best endings!!
Great episode, what a character, remember Mick at Wimbledon booting a player up the arse as he walked past them celebrating
Another great episode lads , without doubt my favourite podcast I’ve watched almost all of them now and absolutely love it ! Keep it up fellas, can’t wait for the next one👌

Lots of personal humour..But it was great to hear Mick Harford talking.. Been there&seen it,very 'down to earth' and interesting!!most refreshing, compared to the bland mass produced crap,we see&hear now!
What a good honest footballer Mick was hundred percent evey game good kook Mick keep well pal
What a legend! Loved this one lads. Keep them coming 👊
Great pod-cast with Mick, keep them coming Lads
Was a pleasure to watch the massively underrated Mick Harford, he was the best Number 9 in england in the 80s also met him a few times,
Cheers lads. Great pod. He’s my absolute hero
what a nice gentleman,,, he learnt the hard way,,,
Was gutted when Mick left Bristol City, he was my first ‘hero’, I used to play in the street as a kid & would be Mick Harford as about a 10 year-old & I followed his career throughout. He’s still very fondly remembered at Bristol City & I don’t know anyone that doesn’t have a good word to say about him or that wasn’t gutted about him leaving us.
mick hartford one hard man, proper old school centre forward, proper Luton town legend!! i bet ya a pound to a penny micks the most popular name in luton!! always thought he came from Merseyside! dough! 💰! well done lads this was a belter, 💯👍
Great interview I’m West Ham fan so no biases towards Mick Harford Wasn’t sure what to expect watched him as a kid in the 80’s and Luton were a bogey team But what a great guy I went to Rotherham v Preston years ago and was Micks first game in charge of Rotherham
So many guests have commented on Mick and Kevin Ball being the hardest men they've played against on the pitch, yet they both seem to be the nicest, most genuine guys. Definitely not fake hard men with something to prove, just genuine guys with a certain side to their nature which they know how to channel. So many great guests you've interviewed but those two are definitely on the list of who I'd enjoy a few pints with I think.

Hhahaha I love the intros. Like hearing what’s been going on and their banter is funny
FINALLY! There’s only one Micky Harford!
Genuine. Loved this one.
Brilliant episode enjoyed it from.start to finish . Great bloke great footballer
glad he's over the cancer from 2018
Been looking 4ward to this ....
Enjoyed this one 👍
what a guy Mick is! i'm biased as a Luton fan, of course. but not a bad word said about him in the comments section, says it all about the man!
Loved by all at Birmingham, saved us on so many occasions. Proper player.
Great bloke Mick, salt of the earth. Happy memories of him playing up front for Lincoln....all those years ago.
What a finale 😂😂👏
Brilliant lads 💚
Brilliant start
yes i loved this one. luton my team and mick is a legend for us
One of the best episodes i've watched/listened too, make it two !!
Yes lads!!!!
Quality, as always. Nice to hear Steve Foster get a mention too. As a Brighton fan, any chance of getting him on?
Mick the book and author Neil Berry published a book in 2007, The Forgotten Babe, describing his father's years at Manchester United.
One of the best you've had, for the fact Mick speaks well, recalls well and he speaks with detail. Not only this but for the level he played at. Thank you, this one is a different class to many others.
Any chance of a part 2, common lads loads more material there😅👍
When he was at blues they had some proper headers , hoppy , noel blake , vanden hawe , mark dennis , howard gayle , coton and harford
Get Terry Hurlock on

Top man..awe the best big man.
Love this bloke COYH
World class sweet chat lads
Absolute legend of a footballer and bloke. A true hard man too!! 🧡🎩🧡 Edit - What a great watch, nice one guy 👍 The footballer Cockney rhyming slang at the end is brilliant 🤣
Apart from the H being my childhood football hero aged 7, his resilience strength and nous with LTFC has especially been paramount from the f.a's scapegoat agent fees debacle to our position now. Played youth football regularly against emme Boyce who the H coached at Luton and with his foresight, I know he'd agree was a major influence in Boycey lifting the f.a. Cup as captain for Wigan (one prime example) Do a part 2 lads great podcast, there's alot more to be told
Really good pod
Imagine the difference that a Mick Harford would have in these struggling prem teams, he would make a big difference
"David O'Leary's playing." "Okay, I'll come." So few words, yet so much information.
Met Mick a few time lovely guy and a proper player no nonsense and could play also - Pidge
Would love them to get Billy Whitehurst on 👍
A dying art what Mick did 'back to goal' footballer and would love him at Rams now even at his age.
Massive luton legend.. COYH!
Saw mick play at qpr vs luton always having it with Alan mcdonald both hard men great interview
One of the most humble guys in football past and present..legend of Luton Town and well respected at all the other clubs big Mick played for
Love the intros
I see Mick regulary at work, he's the nicest person I've met at work, which I've found weird with my knowledge of his on pitch actions

Good luck big fella . Get well soon
Mick was tough, but u know that wasn't his priority,it was just one of the necessary tools ( in his bag) that he had to employ! He was a really good big Centreforward, who gave some lumps& took plenty, without wining and making fuss!
Ooh Ahh Paul McGrath, UTV!
I would love to see Andy Van Der Meyde, Billy Kenny or John Ebbrell on this show. Very different stories.

Andy is trying to play down his cocaine use. No chance you will get him
First time I became aware of Mick as a hardman was, of all things, when it was referred to on Question of Sport. You only got a hardman reputation beyond the game if you played for a very big club, or got sent off lots of times like Mark Dennis, which isn't always the same thing. THough don't tell Mark Dennis I said that. Great interview btw.
Lads anyone know what year the "watford stamp" was? Looking for a clip of it
MH what a Blues legend and some Blues side he played in ..Has the pleasure of sharing a table with MH and TC at an event at St Andrews a few years back both characters..KRO Big Mick 💙
Brilliant this one. Proper character and could play abit. All the best with ur health Mick. Great awareness by the way as well lads. Thanks for that.
Great episode lads anychance of getting lee trundle on
Not watched this yet but already looking forward to this. Proper proper hard man. Love to see you guys get Big Billy Whitehurst on. Ultimate Hardman.
Quality
Great episode. Wish you had asked him about West Ham going in for him and offering a million when McAvennie left in 88.
Nice of the bald one to completely skip him playing for Newcastle
Proper bloke

I'm presuming people that tune in don't want to watch a male version of Loose Women before a football podcast? Or read the brown-nosing comments gushing over how they love the first ten minutes 😂

attracts a different crowd now the podcast to 2/3 years back. imagine the newbys displeasure at parky knockin back 6 pints n being sloshed half way thru like the old days 😅

intro banter is funny , it shouldn't be but it is
A proper centre forward, gave it and took it.
best of luck with your health Mick from an imp.
I would love an episode of just intros
Get Vinny on lads, be an absolute belter!
So as a kid i was almost run over at traffic lights in Luton entirely my fault.Being the gobby teen i was i gave the driver some verbal and the V sign..I was horrified to see Mick sat behind the wheel as he was not only my favourite Luton player he was absolutely raging.Thankfully i got away unscathed and i learnt a valuable lesson lol.Great interview with an absolute Legend all the best with the ongoing treatment Mick.🧡COYH

Spot on about Weghorst
Proper old school. Play hard on the pitch, have a pint with each other after the game..
The word Legend is overused, however in the case of Big Mick, it’s deserved. Luton Town is where it is because of him, he is responsible for recruiting our players, and the reason we punch above our weight, is because he recruits players in his own image, they are a team, and there are no individuals.
Like see see Oliver Bernard on sure he would be up for it.
I Got My Photograph With Mick Halford At Halftime Of A South Tyneside Match When I Was 12 In The Arse-End Of The 1980's... ...Luton Town...That Fucking Astroturf Pitch ffs Boys And Germs?...
RIP Bert Loxley
Absolutely terrifying to look at on the pitch. proper genuine hard man

@@the_even_toed_ungulate. simply on tv, he was like a silent assassin he wasn’t one of those making his mouth go all the time he was just proper hard
Bully Whitehouse was a decent actress but I have just learned she was in the too 3 hardest of her generation of footballers 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Best player ever to come from Lincoln City was Trevor Peake...should've been an England central defender.
Big Mick, Noel Blake and Tony Coton all at Birmingham at the same time. You did not start anything with those three on the pitch.
