I wonder how many free agents would run to Minneapolis if the lakers stayed there? Not many I'll tell u that. So i find it funny how they love to mention the lakers 17 but its between 2 states. They only count it because the name stayed the same. Los Angeles is a perk to have to recruit free agents. Minneapolis should hold on to theirs alone.

Of course it matters. The Celtics won 11 championships when the league had 8 teams. Player movement wasn’t a thing. And the 1st seed got a 1st round bye in the playoffs. Those things combined make it extremely hard to dethrone the Celtics at that time

I'm so blessed as a Bostonian and Celtics fan. I get to see my teams compete every single year. Even when we don't win, our teams usually advance to the playoffs and give us a few more weeks and months of entertainment. Other American teams and fanbases can only wish they had the kind of sports culture and history we have in Boston.

I'm with Keyshawn. I was born in 1977. The Lakers have won 10 titles in my lifetime and that's not including the bubble ring. Celtics only have 5 in the same span so I'm good. Plus 5 of those 17 overall titles were in Minnesota so as a LA native I can't really brag about those anymore than I can brag about the Rams 1999 title in St. Louis.
