    VVT, VVA, VTEC, etc. All started with the Cadillac back in 1903, if I'm not mistaken. Porsche did it back in the late 50s. Torazza did it in the late 60s. Alfa Romeo did it in the early 80s. Honda did it shortly after Alfa Romeo. Most car and motorcycle companies have their own versions and they all just copy each other. Not a new concept but it is amazing never the less. Motorcycles had it back in the day but decided to phase out the system because the weight penalty of having a variable valve system was too much for it to be useful. I know there are holes in my data but I'm just going by memory here.

    VVA is a copy of the well known VTEC from Honda developed in the 1980's and being used since. 😉👍
