I found one in my house today and released it back. Took a picture, looked it up, found the name, then found your video! Such a beautiful gecko.

Fantastic. One of the most underrated geckos here in the states.
I'm in South Australia myself and have been looking into getting myself a Barking Gecko after a visit to the Northern Territory where I saw so many beautiful reptiles. This guide has been so informative and to the point. There are so many different articles and communities offering wildly varying advice and it gets a bit intimidating sometimes, but you've laid it all out so concisely and informatively. As someone who's never owned a reptile before it's been nice to hear someone who not only knows what they're talking about, but is also so passionate about the subject. Thank you so much! x

Your comment just made my day!!!! Thank you so much! Keep me posted if you do start keeping these. Thanks again.
These are such cool geckos! I've talked to some people online from australia and they introduced me to the species, but it's awesome to see a full care guide on them. I'd really like to have a group in a bioactive 3x2x2 enclosure some day! :D

Thank you for an awesome informative video ;) These are one of my favorites to keep. My breeding group is going to be hypo and het hypo 1.3 group. I'm patiently waiting on a couple of them to gain a bit more weight before the move to the breeding rack. Hopefully I can share some with the world and not keep all the pretties for myself ;)

@@neebsaloofin2875 How amazing would that be to see them like this in the wild. Send me videos! :)
Hi, I’m Silke from Germany and have three of these beauties, but now you surprised me a lot. I always read, that it would have to be sort of like a desert and now you tell me, it’s possible with such a bio active version, too!!! So I will certainly try that one now as that’s much easier and faster to set up, to finally give them an appropriate enclosure until a bigger terrarium gets here for each of them. Also many thanks for your advice that width is more important than height. I was about to get two more of the version 45x45x45cm yesterday (thinking it’s just for this year as we will be moving next year for sure and then they will get a bigger one) but our car breaking down yesterday prevented me from doing so. Cause I ordered it to a store and it got there yesterday. So after your news I will go for the option of 60cm length and 45 cm width and 30 cm height for now instead. I’m still baffled that it doesn’t has to be the desert version of setup. Many thanks. And I will get your suggested book about them.

Wally you should do a video on the difference between bioactive and non bioactive set ups……like some people think bioactive just means bugs in the enclosure

Hi Shardy. This is a gecko video. But, I do have guides on isopods. Did you have a specific question?
@sherdy802
Жыл бұрын
@@SupremeGecko I like yoir isopod guides and I have baby isopods after few months (Cubaris murina glacier) and I want to see your full guide on keeping isopods.
I’ve currently got 1 barking gecko called yoshi, I’ve had her for 4 years now I keep her in a 90cm x 40cm x 40cm wooden viv with lots of hides a climbing wall, and a piece of drift wood that’s almost the full length of the enclose. I use Arcadia earth mix arid for substrate and she seems to love it! I’ve also recently got a pictus gecko called Steve French, he has exactly the same viv but with pro rep bio life forest substrate. Would that substrate be suitable for the barking gecko too or would it be to humid? Great videos by the way 👍🏼

Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching. Congrats to the geckos. Very cool. I haven't had the opportunity to use that substrate so I couldn't comment on it. Sorry
